I thought for a minute. “You can grab me something from Popeye’s. I’ll text you my order.”

“Okay.”

When she left, I thought about what she said about Wonder. I didn’t see the big deal about me inviting her to stay at the cookout so she could get a plate. It wasn’t like I introduced her as my girlfriend. But I did like shorty. I had admitted that to myself a minute ago. I stared at my phone as I contemplated calling her. I had never in life apologized to a female before that wasn’t family, and I could barely remember apologizing then. Wonder had snapped on me before, and I didn’t sit around and demand apologies. I just let it roll off my back. But she wasn’t me. Women were sensitive.

Maybe it was dope that she cared about protecting her character. I contemplated for too long because before I could call her, sleep took over. I woke up briefly when Nina brought my food back. I hated cold fries, so I ate my food with my eyes closed and as soon as I was done, I was out like a light.

I didn’t drivefor a total of five days after I got shot but after that, I had moves to make. My arm was still sore, but I could drive with one hand. As soon as I got out of the hospital, I got Jermaine to drop the cough medicine off to me. I had five sales to make, and I wasn’t letting any of my clientele meet me at my house, so I had to go to them. I pulled up on my homie, Doc, and I peeped his Corvette that used to be yellow. He had gotten Wonder to wrap it Nipsey blue.

“Shorty did a good job on the whip,” I nodded my head.

“Hell yeah, she did. She got a customer for life. I might get it wrapped again in a year or so. Keep switching up.”

“Heard that.” That was the end of the small talk. We made the exchange, and I moved on to the next person. When I was done, I decided to stop by Wonder’s shop.

Our arrangement was done. Boone and Drew were dead, and I was going to wipe her prints off the gun and get rid of it. Even though I was driving with one hand, I had been doing too much moving around, and my arm and shoulder were beginning to throb. At least I had gotten through everything I needed for the day. When I arrived, Wonder was closing up shop for the day. The guy that worked for her was pulling off. I caught her just before she locked the door.

“Can I help you?” she asked after rolling her eyes at me.

I took her in, dressed in black spandex shorts and a white and yellow shirt with the Wu-tang Clan symbol on it. Black and yellow Nikes adorned her feet, and her blonde hair was slicked back into a long weave ponytail. What was it about her that I liked so much? She was bad, but I had never hit an ugly chick a day in my life. Bad chicks came a dime a dozen. She was nice forthe most part, but I brought out the feistiness in her. Maybe that was what I liked. I got tired of women running in behind me and practically begging me for the D. An overly thirsty woman wasn’t my thing. Wonder acted like she hated me some days, and that shit turned me on. On top of that, she was a hustler and not one of those females that expected to be taken care of simply because she had a pretty face and some good pussy. Wonder was up every day getting to the money, and that was sexy.

“You just gon’ keep staring, or you gonna tell me what you want?” she sassed. “I’m about to lock up and leave.”

I didn’t respond. I just stared at her, and she became even more annoyed. As I closed the distance between us, she kissed her teeth. “I want you,” I admitted. “I miss you. And I’m sorry for that day in the hospital. I was in pain, but baby, you just got to know me. I don’t give a damn what people say or what they think. You know the truth just like I do. And I can’t publicly clear shit up. Admitting that I had a problem with Drew for any reason would give the police a reason to question me.”

“I get it.”

“Do you?” I searched her face for signs that she still had an attitude.

“I said I did, didn’t I?” she snaked her neck at me.

I frowned. “That ghetto shit isn’t giving.”

“What?” It was her turn to frown. “I know you didn’t just…”

I shut her up with a kiss to her lips. I should have known my ass wasn’t special and that it could happen to me, too. Wonder was officially the first female that may have had me in my feelings just a little. It crossed my mind to block her and act like she didn’t exist, just so I could prove to myself that she didn’t have me like that. But then I would have been depriving myself of having her lil’ cool ass in my life and of that good ass pussy she was walking around with.

Using my good hand, I gripped Wonder’s neck as we kissed. My manhood stiffened, and I couldn’t wait any longer to have some of her. While we were still kissing, I walked her over to a table. I gripped the waistband of her shorts, and she broke the kiss.

“I’m at work.”

“So. Nobody is here. You the boss, right?”

She stared into my eyes for a moment before she unbuttoned then unzipped my jeans. I lightly squeezed her jaws as I kissed her again. When I couldn’t take it anymore, I turned her around and entered her from behind. Leaning my chest on her back, I kissed the nape of her neck then gently bit her earlobe.

“If I’m hitting this raw, and it’s the only pussy I’m getting, I don’t expect to see any lame ass niggas in your face. Got that?” I asked as I pumped in and out of her.

“Who said I’m looking for a relationship?” she moaned with her eyes closed.

I straightened up. “Oh, you wanna play? I’m ‘bout to snatch this ponytail clean off ya head, G.”

“No!” she shrieked. “Please stop playing. I just got my hair done,” she half demanded while moaning.

“I gives a fuck about your hair,” I gritted as I smacked her ass cheek and sexed her harder.

“This is your pussy, baby,” she crooned. “Fuck, this is your pussy,” she whimpered, and her legs trembled as she gripped the table and came.

“Got damn,” I panted as her pussy choked my member. A woman had never said that to me before during sex, and the way it turned me on was crazy. Since I couldn’t pull her hair, I reached around and grabbed her neck, and I fucked her savagely.
