“I might bring my baby out before summer is over.”

Wilde on a motorcycle…my yoni started to do that little thing again when I saw someone approaching from my peripheral. “We got action,” Pierre mumbled as I looked to my left and saw Drew walking towards us with three of his homeboys.

Wilde seemed unfazed as my mouth went dry. Heart racing in my ribcage, I wanted to look away, but I couldn’t. Drew hadfire blazing in his eyes, and his sights were set on me. When he reached us, he flicked the tip of his nose and directed his glare toward Wilde.

“Wonder, let me holla at you for a second.” Drew was talking to me, but glaring at Wilde.

Wilde laughed. A genuine laugh that wasn’t forced. “Nah, homie, that’s not how it works. You don’t directshittowards her. That’s my bitch. And she doesn’t have any business with the next man.”

My nostrils expanded with anger. Wilde was definitely going to get checked, but it wasn’t the time. Drew drew back. “Wonder is a grown ass woman. She doesn’t need you speaking for her. Fuck you think this is?”

The words were barely out of Drew’s mouth before Wilde hit him with a punch so hard, I heard his jaw crack. My eyes widened as they began to fight. Drew wasn’t a pussy, and he had some hands. He was hanging with Wilde at first but all it took was an uppercut that made Drew lose his footing, and Wilde got the best of him. He wasn’t muscular at all. In fact, I considered Wilde to be skinny, but he was throwing punches and beating the brakes off Drew on some Mike Tyson type shit.

Damn. Just another thing to turn me on. Security came over and broke the fight up. Drew and his crew were taken to the exit, and I wasn’t sure if they were coming back for Wilde or if they knew him and were going to let him slide.

“Bitch ass nigga,” Wilde seethed as he looked over his wrists to make sure his watch and bracelet were still secure.

“I need to have a word with you,” I stated in a flat tone.

“What’s good?” Wilde’s chest heaved up and down as he tried to catch his breath.

“In private.” I couldn’t stand him, but I wasn’t going to say what I had to say in the presence of his people.

Wilde and I stepped off to the side, and his brows hiked. “I told you that I left Drew because he was a verbally abusive asshole. I don’t care if this is fake or not. You will not call me out of my name and disrespect me. You got that?”

Wilde appeared confused at first. He more than likely referred to women as bitches so often that he wasn’t aware that he did it. Recognition hit him, and he kissed his teeth. “You mad about that?” he frowned.

I didn’t possess the energy to try and make him understand. “Should I walk around referring to you as a fuck nigga?”

Wilde’s lip twitched, and I knew something disrespectful was on the tip of his tongue. Surprisingly, he didn’t say it. Instead, he flicked the tip of his nose and mumbled, “My bad.”

“My baby daddy really out here fighting over yo’ ass?” I heard a loud voice, and I knew it was about to be some shit. I looked over to see Ashley approaching me with a scowl on her face. “Y’all still fucking or something?”

Her sister was beside her, and they were both grilling me like I had personally done something to them. I chuckled and attempted to walk off. Ashley followed. “You don’t hear me talking to you, bitch?”

I whirled around, and Wilde stepped in front of me. “You better let her walk away while she’s trying to spare yo’ ass. I’m not gon’ tell you again. How she fucking yo’ lame ass nigga when she with me every night? That nigga mad ‘cus he a hoe, and he must not be overmyshawty. Go direct that anger towards him before I let her knock yo’ ass out.”

“Knock who out?” Ashley’s sister snaked her neck.

“Girl, fuck them,” Ashley tossed me a hateful glare before they stomped off.

I was too turned on to even be annoyed. The way Wilde checked her officially had my panties moist. He turned around to face me. “Better?” he smirked while looking down at me.

I simply rolled my eyes. “Come on. They probably looking for me to kick me out. We about to hit the strip.”

With a sigh, I pulled my phone from my pocket, so I could call KoKo. Being with Wilde was unpredictable and a little fun, I hated to admit. KoKo was five minutes away, but I told her not to come. In the car, I texted her everything that happened. Wilde was playing the music so loud that it would have been impossible for us to converse, even if we wanted to. He sparked a blunt and when he extended it towards me, I hesitantly took it. I wasn’t sure if I was sweating because it was hot out or because I was fiending for lean. It could have been a combination of both. But I needed something to take the edge off. I hit the blunt three times before passing it back to him.

“Oh, you don’t smoke for real, huh?” he shouted over the music, and I simply shook my head.

Wilde pulled up at a popular wing spot, and when I put my hand on the handle, he tapped my leg with the back of his hand. I still wasn’t used to him opening the door for me. I was, indeed, a lightweight when it came to smoking because my lids were heavy off just three tokes. When Wilde opened the door for me, I wasn’t sure if I was tripping, or if he intentionally didn’t move back, so I couldn’t get by him without our bodies brushing against one another. The feeling of butterflies had my stomach going crazy as we touched. Wilde closed the car door and proceeded to walk in front of me, so he could open the door of the restaurant.

We were seated in a booth, and I ordered a frozen margarita, wings, and fries. Wilde placed his order and when the waitress walked away, he eased out of the booth and came to sit beside me. I could feel my heart beating in my throat as he sat very close to me. He turned to face me. “You good?”

I had ingested enough weed to feel slight effects, so I possessed the ability to play it cool, but a part of me was stillshitting bricks that Wilde was so close to me. “I’m fine,” I managed to get out.

I swallowed hard as he stared at me. With narrow eyes, I glanced over at him, and his low, hooded lids were staring at my cleavage. “I should have let that girl beat you up.” His tone was low and deep. I barely heard him, but I did. And I laughed so hard that I snorted.

“Please get away from me. You are an irritating ass human being.”
