After both couples said their vows, there wasn’t a dry eye in the house. Both couples exchanged new rings. Raso and Marcus’s rings were two-toned, white gold, wedding bands that had gold trinity knots spaced out on the band. Highlander and Pratt’s rings were done in white gold with Irish claddagh and trinity knots going around the band.

Highlander had to look down when he felt a tugging on his kilt. “Daddy, are you guys done yet? I’m hungry!” Will announced, causing everyone to laugh as Will Sr jumped up to grab his grandson.

“Almost lad, let ye mum and da finish here and then I promise you’ll get plenty of food.” Will Sr murmured to the boy.

“Marcus, do ye take Lindsey to be ye wife, in sickness and in health, for richer or poorer. Do ye promise to forsake all others for her, care for her, love her and cherish her, until death do ye part?”

“I do!” Marcus answered loudly.

“Lindsey…”

“Yes, I do! All of it, in this universe and the next!” Raso said, cutting the priest off, tears falling once again down her face.

“Joseph…”

“Aye, Father, I take Laura in sickness, health, rich, poor, there is no other but her. I will cherish her and love her, in this world and all the others afterwards.” Highlander said, looking into Pratt’s eyes, a tear threatening to fall from his eyes.

“Same here Father. There will never be anyone but Joe, whatever life throws our way, he is my answer. I will follow this man to whatever Universe after this one if it meant we would be together again.”

“Alrighty then, by the power vested in me from Scotland, God and the church, I pronounce you man and wife…both couples.” The priest announced.

Cheers went up from the audience as both men pulled their wives in and kissed them as if their lives depended on that one kiss. Everyone clapped, laughed and wiped tears from their eyes as they stood up.

“Daddy, let mommy go! I want to eat too!” Ryleigh yelled at her parents, pulling on her mother’s dress.

Highlander pulled away from Pratt long enough to bend down and pick up Ryleigh. “Never lass. Ye mum is mine!”

Pratt laughed as she snuggled into Highlanders arms. “Come silly, let’s go feed the children. We have the rest of our lives together.”

FOURTEEN

Everyone gathered in the yard where the tables and chairs had been set up for the wedding reception. The family had the dinner and cakes special made. When the couples cut their cakes, fed each other, the women smashing the cake on their husbands faces, everyone settled down to eat, drink and share laughter.

“Alright everyone. It’s time for Marcus and Lindsey to share their first dance.” Mary Catherine announced to everyone.

Marcus and Raso walked over to the makeshift dance floor, facing each other. Marcus smiled at Raso when the song“Feels Like Home”by Chantel Kreviazuk started playing. The couple danced, holding each other tight while the song played. Lindsey started crying again when she heard Marcus singing the lyrics into her ear.

Once they were done, Highlander and Pratt were announced for them to dance their first dance.“Love Me Like You Do”by Ellie Goulding started playing as Highlander whirled Pratt around the dance floor. As they danced, Highlander held Pratt close, staring into her eyes, mouthing the words to the song to her. When the song ended, he leaned down and kissed her passionately.

The party kicked off while the dj started playing music for the rest of the guests to start dancing. Alpha Squad joined the couple, hugging each other, laughing and making jokes. While they were all talking, Anya, Elizabeth and Colin came to join the group.

“Anya, it’s good to see you. Glad you could make it.” Pratt hugged the agent.

“Thank you for having me. Although I can’t say it wasn’t work related anyway. I wanted to give you all heads up, the local police are on the way to assist me in arresting Felicity. I hate to do it here at your wedding though.”

“Fuck that, do it. That’s your wedding present to us.” Raso cheered, smiling at the woman. Elizabeth, can you have Catherine or one of your other sisters take Isla and Angus into the house, so they can’t see their mother being arrested. While I hate how she treated them, I don’t want them scared. It’s going to be bad enough dealing with Polin.”

“Already being taken care of. We actually have all the children being taken into the house with the idea of being changed out of their dress clothes into play clothes. Isla was hesitant because she’s afraid she can’t keep the dress, but we’ve assured her she’s keeping the dress.” Elizabeth answered, one step ahead of the others.

Suddenly there was a commotion as the local Dunvegan police showed up in the yard. Highlander and Marcus looked over at their father, nodding, giving him the heads up of what was going on.

“What in the world?” Sylvia asked, hands going to her chest.

“Felicity Marshall, ye are under arrest for four counts of murder, three counts of plotting murder, and a slew of other charges that will be read at your trial.” Anya announced as the police officer handcuffed Felicity.

“What the hell? What is the meaning of this?” Polin yelled at Anya, getting ready to put his hands on her.

Highlander grabbed Polin at the same time as Ash and their father. “Four counts? Who are the four?” Highlander asked Anya in confusion.
