Candy started screaming, trying to get out of Pratt’s hold. She got one hand free, swinging at Pratt, who still had a tight hold of the hand that was cuffed. Pratt leaned back just as Candy’s hand came towards her face, blocking the blow with her free arm. Grabbing the arm that came at her, Pratt twisted it at the same time as she jerked the cuffed hand, causing Candy to scream out in pain as she went down to her knees.

Raso and Cortez rushed to assist Pratt in cuffing Candy while York and Diesel ran to assist Dominick and Shane with Ruiz. Eddie, Wolf, Rocco, Ace, Mac, Dude and Doc all rushed forward to hold Highlander and Pattrick back from going after Ruiz and Candy for attempting to assault their wives. Riverside County Deputies escorted Ruiz and Candy out of the area just as Wolf’s phone rang.

“Steel”

“Video shows the woman that Sheila bumped into targeted her. The girls didn’t realize Sheila wasn’t behind them until it was too late. The cameras showed Dakota on her phone giggling as two young Caucasian males, probably early twenties, came up behind her and Tina. Both put their arms around the girls, just as they reacted, they went limp.”

“Shit! Tex, any way to see where they went?” Raso asked when Wolf put the phone on speaker so that everyone could hear what Tex has to say.

“Looks like they went down a long hallway that the employees use, then out of a door that led them to the back alleyway. Did anyone find a purse or cellphone out there?” Tex asked the large group.

“No. There were a couple of homeless people sleeping in cardboard boxes back there when we did our search. They didn’t see anything from what they told us.” Dominick responded, looking over at his sister.

“We, Dom and I, recognized a few of the homeless people from our routes when we are on patrol. They were coming back to their spots behind the mall when we had started searching.” Pratt confirmed.

“Would they take something that found lying around?” Tex asked.

“Depends where they found it. If they found it in a dumpster, having dug for it, yes.” Pratt answered without hesitation as she looked at the men in the large group.

“Finding it haphazardly, no body with it, no blood on the items, just laying around, then yes. They aren’t proud of it, but they would if it meant a difference between having food in their belly or starving.” Dominick finished, backing Pratt up.

“Fucking drug addicts and alcoholics.” Thomas, a newbie SEAL on Highlander’s team spouted.

“First off dumbass, Jonsey has never done drugs in his life and he doesn’t drink a drop of alcohol. Second, he’s a former SEAL who lost everything due to the medical bills for his wife who died of cancer. He sunk every penny he had into Drs. Outside of the VA to save her. His opinion is that he deserves to be on the street homeless since he couldn’t save his wife. Get your facts before you spout stupid shit about someone you don’t know jack shit about, fucking squid!” Pratt heatedly told him, seething with a murderous glare at the SEAL.

“Knock ye shite off, Thomas, or I’ll bump ye back to sand and BUDs.” Lt. Joseph ‘Highlander’ MacLeod growled, glaring at Thomas.

“Well, they are. Just because some jackass spouts a sad story…” Thomas started.

“Bub, if you’re smart, which you’re showing that you’re really not right now, you’d shut the hell up before you join Ruiz on the chopping block in front of the XO.” Snake told the kid, shaking his head. “That’s also the Lt’s wife you’re running your mouth to, and not a smart thing to do. Especially since you’re new to the teams.”

“Wait, the Lt is married to her?” Thomas sneered, looking at Pratt up and down, with a smirk on his lips.

“Watch it, kid” Dude growled, stepping forward at the same time Highlander did.

“And what the hell does that comment mean?” Pratt asked, stepping forward, hands on her hips, stopping in front of her husband.

“I honestly thought one of the other chicks there was his wife. I mean, they are better suited look wise to be a SEAL wife.” Thomas answered, shrugging, laughing, not realizing the trouble he was getting himself into with the whole conversation.

“Get him the fuck out of here before he gets his ass beat by every SEAL here.” Mac seethed to his other teammates. “I’ll write up the paperwork tomorrow to have him removed from the team.”

“I’ll write one up to make sure his ass doesn’t come to ours.” Wolf said, agreeing as he glared at Thomas. “A SEAL doesn’t treat a woman like that kid. A SEAL treats them with respect, no matter what.”

“What you just said about your Lt’s wife also means you feel the same about our wives, therefore, you’re not a real SEAL. You have passed BUDs and wear the trident, but a real SEAL knows a woman’s look doesn’t make a woman, it’s her heart, her soul and how she treats her man. She treats her man, the way she’s treated.” Rocco said next. “You’re just a jackass who managed to pass everything, but obviously didn’t learn anything in the process.”

“Enough, let him think what he wants. His opinion of me or who he feels Highlander should have married matter to me. He’s just another idiot in the long lines of idiots who will have to find out the hard way that life will kick his balls in, if they could find it.” Pratt said, shrugging before turning around to face her husband. “Joe, ignore him, send him home or whatever, but right now Tina and Dakota need us on our game. Not playing high school games with this dumbass.”

“Damn squidward, didn’t know the SEALs were hurting that bad for people that they took in losers like this asshat.” Diesel fired back, staring Thomas down as he growled at her. “You guys got two for the price of one, first the Ruiz character and now this idiot.”

“At least I can get laid with no problems. With you tramps, you have to trap a man.” Thomas fired back at Diesel.

“Of course, you can get laid twatasouras, frog hogs fuck anything with a trident. I mean, you all look the same in the dark if you’re a SEAL, but I’m sure if we look at your ratings from the frog hogs, it’ll say, one time ride only if you’re drunk and don’t give a shit about getting off.” Diesel fired back nonchalantly, shrugging.

“You bitch!” Thomas said, starting towards Diesel.

“I wouldn’t if I were you, bub.” Snake said, stepping in between Diesel and Thomas. “Our money would be on Diez kicking your ass, SEAL or not. Now, get the fuck out of here like the lt told you to.”

“Fuck you. Lay a finger on me and I’ll own you and your bitch.” Thomas said as he stormed out.
