“I didn’t give up! I never stopped fighting him! I fought him like dad, Pattrick and Shane told me to.” Tina cried as she curled up when they uncuffed her hands.
“Yes, you did baby. You did good! Let’s get you to the hospital and get you patched up so your mom and dad can see you.” Pratt soothed Tina, covering her naked body with a blanket, loading her into the SUV.
“Dakota?” Tina begged.
“We haven’t found her yet sweetie. We are still looking for her.”
Tina burst into tears and curled up into Pratt. They rushed her to the ER, calling the Captain along the way. When they arrived at the hospital, the waiting room was full of Navy SEALs, Shane, Dominick, and Captain Irby.
Raso went into the waiting room to escort Eddie and Sheila back to the room while Pratt stayed with Tina, who had yet to release Pratt’s hand from the death grip she kept on it. Raso quietly informed Eddie and Sheila of what they found, Tina’s condition and that Dakota was still missing at this time.
As soon as her parents walked into the room, Tina started sobbing hysterically. Pratt and her parents tried to calm her down to no avail. The nurse eventually had to sedate her so she wouldn’t cause anymore harm to her stitches or make herself sicker.
“They sold her to Ares. Ares…” Tina whimpered out before the medication caused her to fall asleep. “Ares…”
Pratt and Raso looked at each other in confusion before Raso sent a text to Sgt. Brocard while Pratt sent one to Tex. Several hours later, Tina started to stir. Pratt and Brocard and Raso watched from the other side of the room to make sure she didn’t start freaking out again.
“Hi baby. How are you feeling?” Sheila quietly asked her daughter.
“I hurt everywhere.” Tina softly cried. “I’m so sorry momma. I should have talked to you about everything.”
“Enough of that baby girl. We will deal with this later when you’ve rested and are better. You’re safe now!” Eddie smiled softly at his daughter.
“Tina, can you answer a few questions? We will leave you alone afterwards so Shane and Pattrick can come in.” Pratt whispered softly, giving a small smile.
When Tina nodded, squeezing her mom’s hand, Pratt stepped forward. “Just before you passed out, you said ‘They sold her to Ares’. Can you tell me a little more?”
Tina looked down at her hands, then back up to Pratt. “The men who kidnapped us told Dakota that she was a prize to someone named Ares.”
“Did they say who sold her or anymore about this Ares person?” Raso asked, walking towards the bed slowly.
“Her mom sold her!” Tina started sobbing. “Told her she was tired of Dakota getting all the attention and how she was tired of Ruiz panting after her slut of a daughter. But she wasn’t a slut mom. Kota and I are both still virgins!”
“It’s ok baby, it’s okay.” Sheila whispered into Tina’s hair as she held her sobbing daughter.
Pratt, Brocard and Raso looked at each other for a few moments before Brocard pulled out her phone to call Captain Irby.
“Thank you, sweetie. Try to get you some rest. I’m going to talk to your dad for a few moments out in the hallway. Okay?” Pratt patted Tina’s leg before nodding to Eddie.
The team met up with all the SEALs in the waiting room. A few minutes later, Brocard’s phone beeped signaling a message coming in.
“Captain sent deputies to pick up Candy and Ruiz. They will be waiting for us in interrogation when we get done here.”
“What about the men who kidnapped my daughter?” Eddie asked, upset about the turn of events.
“Asia and Peter are in the wind. So is Jennifer unfortunately. The man who was cutting Jennifer when we rescued her, what’s left of him is dead.” Raso answered shrugging.
“What’s left of him?” Wolf asked amused at the tone that Raso used.
“Who fired their weapons at the suspect?” Highlander asked, knowing the language the team used by now.
“Umm, well it was me, Ice and York.” Pratt whispered, looking down at the floor, shrugging like it was no big deal.
“In other words, these three lasses fired at the same time, hitting the same area and his head when bye-bye.” Highlander interpreted for the SEALs, laughing at the same time.
“Evil!” Ace mumbled, choking on his laugh. “I love it.”
“He was cutting my daughter up?” Eddie questioned, choking on his words.
