“Plus, if Dakota left anything here that she didn’t want found at home, that would help us tremendously in nailing their asses.” Raso finished out the conversation.
“I’ve heard they gave you hard time.” Wolf growled low.
“They tried. It’s clear they are trying to hide something. Dakota’s room was searched before we got there. That tells us something is defiantly up. They tried to fight us on the several safes that were found, citing Navy SEAL classified safes, but his XO showed up with Navy police and formed him to open the safes.” York laughed, shaking her head.
“Alright, what do you we do now?” Sheila asked, nervously.
“Dom is here with us. He’ll stay in here with you and Eddie. Shane, Pattrick, sorry but you’ll have to stay in here with them too. We don’t want to take any chances. Eddie, you can have your team leader, the XO and your attorney shadow us in the rooms on your behalf. I will personally take Tina’s room for you. Anything we confiscate, you will have an itemized list. Long as it doesn’t become evidence, you’ll get it back as soon as it’s processed.” Prat told everyone, explaining the process.
"We appreciate this more than you know." Sgt. Brocard replied with a soft smile for the attorney.
The team split up, Wolf went with Pratt to Tina's room while the attorney, XO and Eddie's team leader went with the others. When Pratt looked around the room first, Wolf watched her with interest and curiosity.
"What are you doing?" Wolf questioned, curious what was going through Pratt's mind as she looked around the room.
"I'm trying to think like Tina and Dakota before I go too far down the teenage rabbit hole. Can you tell me what Ruiz's relationship is like with his teammates?"
"Stormy is the best way to put it. Grant, his team leader, can't stand him. Ruiz is arrogant and thinks he is better than the others. Most of the SEALs on his team are either married or in a serious relationship, so the fact that Ruiz cheats on his wife is looked down upon, even if she is a pain in the ass."
"Did any of the other teammates serve with Dakota's dad when he was killed?"
"Yeah, Grant, Eddie and two other guys from Ruiz's team did. They wound up with the team they have now since they lost three guys on that mission, two to death and one to being medically discharged. Grant and the guys would go help Candy now and then, just so they could see Dakota. Eddie was transferred to another team once he had recovered from the injuries he received."
"So, Tina and Dakota have been friends for a long time?" Pratt asked, tilting her head to the side as she studied the photos taped to the dresser mirror.
"Pretty much since they were born. Sheila always did her best to include Candy in everything related to the team. Helped with Dakota all the time. When her father died, Dakota blamed her mother even at a young age."
"How old was Dakota when her dad died?"
"Dakota was ten. Candy married Ruiz a year later. They've only been married for about six years, give or take, I believe."
"Do you know if they participate in the BDSM lifestyle?"
"Red, I'm the wrong person to ask." Wolf laughed, shaking his head with his hands up.
Pratt laughed along with Wolf, looking back at him briefly. "No worries Wolf. I didn't know if there were rumors or not about them."
"There are plenty of rumors, but none about the lifestyle, that I can remember. Dude would be the main one to ask, or Eddie and his team leader. I know they participate in that lifestyle and would know if there were any in regard to that stuff."
"Thanks Wolf."
Chapter 12
Alpha Squad completed their search two hours later. Pratt and Wolf walked into the living room behind the others with two boxes full of things from Tina's room.
"Eddie, Sheila, I need you to tell me what belongs to Tina and what belongs to Dakota."
"Okay. The pink laptop, that tablet..." Sheila said as she pointed to an android tablet with lots of stickers on it. "those two things definitely belong to Tina. This laptop here is one that we bought for Dakota last year when her other one broke, and Candy supposedly trashed it."
"Who told you that Candy trashed it?" York asked, looking at Pratt confused, before looking at her other teammates who looked confused as well.
"Umm, she did, why?" Shane answered, shrugging, confused by the questions.
"The reason we're asking is because we found two laptops, a tablet, and two phones along with a couple of diaries hidden in a vent in her bedroom, behind her bed." Pratt answered her sister, looking at her Sgt. with a raised eyebrow.
"WHAT?!" Eddie, Sheila, Shane, Pattrick and Wolf all yelled out in union.
"Guys..." Wolf started, before giving letting out a heavy sigh, "Laura found a few secret hiding spots in Tina's room. One behind her bed, one in the closet and one inside of her dresser."
