“Look at the right ankle as she’s walking. Cortez, can you rewind that please. As you’re looking at the right ankle, also look at the way she holds her hand with the purse strap on the arm.” Pratt told the whole room.
“That jacket, it belonged to her mother before she was killed in the raid a couple of years ago. She and her other sister, Brenda fought over the jacket. B is a hippie, vegan, love and light, type of person who is lazy and selfish in all honesty. B just wanted to sell everything and them split the money, including our father’s house. Luckily for us, only our sperm donor’s name was on the deed to the house, so they couldn’t do shit with it.” Dominick finished informing the group.
“Your father hasn’t been declared dead so they can’t do anything with the house anyways. You two would only be the ones who could do something since you not only have his last name but his blood in your veins.” Diesel recited from memory the law she’s had to spout before.
“Don’t remind us please.” Pratt murmured as she re-watched the video with everyone else.
“Okay, so we know who she is now thanks you two. But we don’t know where to find her.” Wolf commented, still watching the video.
Pratt pulled out her phone and dialed Tex’s number. “Hey Tex, we confirmed who the person is. Her name is Jennifer Roberts. She’s my stepsister.”
“I’m sorry Laura. I was hoping it wasn’t.” Tex sighed into the phone.
“It’s okay. In all honesty, it doesn’t surprise me. If her mother was a part of the organization, then I’m not surprised she is too.”
“What do you need from me?” Tex asked, ready to get down to business.
“Have we been able to identify the two guys yet that were seen taking the girls?” Brocard asked out loud over the speaker phone.
“Yes, I just got the printout back, you’re looking for Asia Davenport and Peter Robinson.”
“One is related to Winnie the Pooh and the other must be piglet.” Diesel joked, trying to ease some of the tension.
“No, that’s Christopher Robinson and piglet. If he had a name that went with cats, then it could have been Tigger.” Cortez joked back.
“Well looks like Peter wasn’t a pumpkin eater and really Christopher Robinson’s evil brother.” Diesel finished off the joke, which had people groaning and shaking their heads.
“You guys seriously give some of the sailors I know a run for their money with their jokes.” Cookie laughed, listening to the jokes between the women.
“This shit is mild if you truly wanna know. Come by on a good day.” Pratt laughed, staring at the screen a little more.
“Tex, what can you tell us about this Asia and Peter thugs?” Brocard asked as she stared at the video of the two boys kidnapping Tina and Dakota.
“Both boys dropped out of school their sr year of high school. They had trouble keeping jobs through the years, pretty much dropped off the grid some until last year when they came rolling around in nice cars, fancy clothes and money in their pockets. I can say that they have nothing to do with their family since they believe the boys are involved in drugs and gangs.”
“More like human sex trafficking. Seems like Jennifer has her a couple of patsies’ that do her dirty work.” Dominick confirmed for everyone.
“You and I both know that Jennifer isn’t smart enough to work by herself. She’s either working for someone or with an organization that we haven’t heard of yet.” Pratt mumbled to her brother.
“True! What if she’s working for this Arrow character?” Diesel asked the room.
“Arrow hasn’t been heard from in years. Not even in the Special Forces community in the last three years at least.” Highlander said, looking over at the men for confirmation.
“Arrow?” Rocco asked confused.
“Arrow was the name that was used for the head of a human sex trafficking organization nearly thirty years ago. No one has ever gotten close to identifying who the head was until three years ago, thanks to Alpha Squad. Not only did they go head to head with the legend himself, they discovered the actual name and person. Unfortunately, they managed to get away.” Doc answered for the newbies in the room.
“Could this Arrow character be behind my daughter’s kidnapping?” Eddie wondered out loud to the whole room.
“I can’t say yes, and I can’t say no. They haven’t been spotted in the area in the last three years. Last anyone knew, they left the country. It was known they were in Europe, but where exactly was unknown.” Dominick answered Eddie as he looked over at his sister, who was uncharacteristically becoming quiet.
“Lass, are ye ok?” Highlander asked as he walked over to his wife.
“It’s my fault. If I had taken the shot when I had Arrow in front of me, instead of trying to talk them down, Eddie and Sheila wouldn’t be going through every parent’s worst nightmare.” Pratt said as she stormed out of the room.
“Shite!” Highlander growled.
“Highlander let me go after her. I’ll talk to her.” Shane said, patting Highlander on the arm as she followed Pratt out of the room, running to catch up with her.
