I trail my tongue over Dax’s tattooed neck as his kiss with Killian deepens. A low rumble escapes his throat.
“We better hurry, or else everyone is going to come looking for us and they are going to find us fucking you, sunshine,” Killian whispers in my ear.
Suddenly, it starts downpouring. Dax and I start laughing, his dimples on full display as the three of us get soaked by the rain.
Dax grabs my hand, and we start running, finishing our naked lap. Killian is right behind us.
The chilly rain patters relentlessly against my skin, sending a shiver down my spine and raising goosebumps across my arms. The damp earth squelches between my toes, cool and squishy, as I feel the mud cling to me like a reluctant embrace.
After our exhilarating naked lap, we make our way back to my back door, laughter still echoing in the fresh air. Amelia and Jules slip inside first, then Dax and Killian.
Adonis leans against a sturdy tree to my left, the tree keeping him somewhat sheltered from the downpour. His skin shining from the dappled moonlight. His tattooed arms are crossed over his well-defined chest.
“You test my patience, woman,” he says playfully, a teasing glint in his eyes as I confidently stride over to him. His blue eyes look me up and down. “It’s just for fun. Relax,” I reply with a smirk, closing the distance between us. With a mischievous grin, I lean in and plant a soft kiss on the dimple on his chin, feeling the warmth on my lips that radiate from his skin.
“It’s not fun when you can hear his thoughts… he was enjoying you a little too much…” I know he is referring to Carter, but I ignore him and grab his hand, leading him back to the house.
We step inside the sunroom. “You have five seconds to get dressed, or else I’m kicking everyone out so we can fuck you…” Killian says, holding my clothes.
“Ooooh, don’t tempt me with a good time,” I grab my tits and playfully squeeze them in my hands.
“Dani…” Adonis warns.
“Wish we could stay naked, and everyone else would leave,” Dax smirks as he walks over, tossing Adonis his clothes.
I ring out my wet hair and finish dressing. I walk towards the kitchen, grabbing the last slice of pizza. “That was so much fun!” Jules says as she jumps up on my counter. Shesnatches the pizza from my hand and takes a bite, “Thanks,” she winks with her mouthful.
“Alright, let’s play a different drinking game. This one will get us all fucked up.” Dax shuffles the playing cards and sits back down at the table. Adonis and Killian smile, taking their seats.
“Hey, guys, Dani didn’t have to do that. I uh… I didn’t look. I swear,” Carter says respectfully.
“Relax, man, our girl is faithful as fuck. We know who she will be sleeping with at the end of the night,” Killian remarks, his eyes shimmering with golden flecks that catch the light, sparkling like tiny stars at dusk.
“Plus, if you did look, you wouldn’t have eyes anymore,” Dax tries to sound like he is joking but I can tell by his tone that he isn’t. Carter’s eyes widen and then he looks away.
Killian lights up a joint and then pats his lap so I can have a seat. He wraps his arm around my waist as I sit and then brings the joint to my lips. I inhale and then turn my head, blowing the smoke in Dax’s face.
“Oooh, give me some!” Jules says. Killian passes her the joint.
“What’s the game called?” I ask.
Amelia coughs from the smoke she just inhaled from Jules, “Demons Delight,” she chokes out. “It’s a lot of fun! We made it up centuries ago!”
Carter laughs, “Centuries?”
Jules waves him off, “You know what she means.” Jules looks at him with her lips pursed.
“How do we play?” I ask Adonis.
“It’s quite straightforward,” Adonis says. “Each player draws a card from the deck. The number on the card dictates how many drinks they can assign to another player, ranging from 1 to 10. Each player gets one face card in the beginning and can use it until a new round—they hold special powers.” He dramatically places a face card on the table, showcasing its significance. “For instance, a King possesses the abilityknown as ‘reverse.’ With the reverse card, you can select another player to swap their assigned drink amounts, turning the tables in an instant.” Adonis continues, “Then there’s the Queen. Her power is ‘impersonation,’ which allows the player to choose a demon, we are all called demons in this game, by the way,” he quickly elaborates, “for an entire round—if they fail to mock the demon they are impersonating, they have to finish their drink.” With a flourish, he points to a Jack and says, “The Jack is the ‘charm’ card. This card compels any two players to share a drink, and they have to chug it simultaneously using two straws.” Finally, Adonis slaps an Ace onto the table, “Now, the Ace isn’t a face card, but you definitely don’t want to draw it. When it appears, the holder must chug a full drink. If their drink isn’t filled to the top, they must fill it before chugging.”
“Don’t forget about the challenge bowl!” Amelia perks up from her chair.
“That’s right, thanks. So, after a player assigns drinks, they can also pull a challenge slip from the bowl. If they complete the challenge without hesitation, they assign a drink to someone, but if they fail, they drink. Challenges can be light-hearted, such as singing a song, telling a joke, or asking a personal question.”
“Or running a naked lap around the house!” I quip. Adonis gives me a look, and I wink at him. He smiles at me and shakes his head. “After each player has had their turn to draw a card, the round ends, and a new round starts. The goal is to keep the game lively, entertaining, and engaging.”
“What’s the end game here? How do we win?” Carter asks.
