Sorcha’s hole clenched. “Can we have sex in between my heat waves?” he asked eagerly.

The levity in Teal’s expression fell away. “You…want to?” he asked cautiously.

“I mean, I still feel really horny.”

“Uncomfortably so?” Teal questioned, placing a hand on Sorcha’s forehead.

“I mean, a little uncomfortable.” Sorcha actually felt more than a little uncomfortable, but after the horror of going through his first waves unassisted, the pain was relative.

Teal and Ronan exchanged a concerned look.

“What’s the matter?” Sorcha asked.

“My darling, it’s only been a few hours since your last wave and Ronan fucked and knotted you three times. For the first day of a heat, it’s unusual that your body wouldn’t welcome this respite between waves. And you’re hotter than you ought to be.”

“Okay…” Sorcha attempted to make sense of Teal's words. “But why is it an issue? I’m probably just extra horny because I was by myself this morning.”

“I’m certain that’s part of it,” Teal agreed. “And I’m willing to bet your overuse of suppressants the past few years is affecting things. What concerns me is you’re not getting the relief you need now that Ronan is here helping you.”

Ronan looked directly at his husband. “What are you saying?”

“I mean, there’s no way to be sure until tomorrow, but I have a hunch,” Teal hedged.

“What?” Sorcha asked.

Ronan sat up against the headboard, lifting Sorcha to sit between his legs. Teal rested on his knees in front of the younger omega, looking him in the eye.

“Do you remember we talked about the possibility that Ronan and I would have to make some decisions for you while you’re in your heat delirium?” Teal asked.

“Yes. And I trust you guys. You have my permission to do whatever you think is best.”

Teal stared gravely at Sorcha. “I want you to know how seriously we take that responsibility. How much we plan on worshiping your body through the rest of this heat. But if we can’t satisfy you, if you keep getting hotter and sicker, we’ll need to do something more.”

Sorcha’s eyes went wide. “This is what you meant earlier…about the alpha semen.”

Ronan inhaled sharply. “You’re saying—”

“That going bare may be the only thing that truly gets Sorcha through his heat.”

“Fuck!” Ronan exclaimed.

Sorcha tensed and the alpha tightened his grip. “I’m sorry for shouting, little one. I know it’s not your fault. None of this is your doing.”

“No. It’s Dale and Abe’s fault for being such rotten excuses for caretakers, not to mention human beings,” Teal said, grazing his hand along Sorcha’s thigh. “Although I’m not sorry that it’s brought us to this bed together.”

“Nor am I,” Ronan said, kissing Sorcha gently on the cheek.

“You trust us?” Teal reaffirmed with Sorcha.

“More than anyone.”

“Then we promise to make the best choices for you we can tomorrow. To bring you the most pleasure and joy. To keep you healthy and safe. And if we need to make a tough call that wethink is in your best interest, we’ll treat that decision as a sacred duty.”

Ronan gripped Sorcha tightly. “You never have to be without my protection—our protection—ever again, little one. Not during this heat, and not for any of the days after.” He glanced at Teal, and his husband stared back with teary eyes. “For as long as you need us, want us, we’ll be there for you.”
