Jude’s head snapped. “What?”
“You’re not mad they were in our rooms?” Hudson asked timidly.
George sighed. “I’m trusting you to be responsible enough to have that privilege. But for goodness’ sake, if you’re going to invite a girl to your house, the least you can do is let her enter and leave through the front door. Don’t you owe them that?” As the boys looked down in shame, he turned to us. “I’m so sorry about this, girls. As I’m sure, you’ll soon realize, if you haven’t already, teenage boys sometimes lack a certain amount of common sense.”
“We were just worried about you seeing them,” Hudson mumbled.
“Yes, well…” George gestured his arm to the hallway. “Why don’t we head downstairs? We can have some tea, and I’ll get to know your lovely girlfriends.”
“He already likes them more than us,” Jude said to Neil in a stage whisper.
George patted Jude on the shoulder as he walked out of the room. “It doesn’t take much, Luca Jude.”

EVERYONE THIS IS NOT A DRILL. JUDE TURNER HAS CONFIRMED HE IS IN A RELATIONSHIP
#1 Jude Fan@abbydoodle
Absolutely sobbing at the fact that Jude Turner’s off the market
T5 for Life@ilovetakefive
I would give anything to know the identity of Jude Turner’s girlfriend. Please anyone, if you know something—share!
“Well, Twitter’s freaking out,”Jude said.
“As they usually do,” I replied. I rolled onto my side so I could read his phone screen over his shoulder. The movie we were watching continued to play in the background, but we’d both lost interest a while ago. “Is this about the interview?”
“Yep.”
The band had a radio interview the other day, on which Jude confirmed what many on Twitter were already suspecting: he was in a relationship. The key piece of information he left out was who his girlfriend actually was. I’d already a couple ofpeople speculating that it could be me, based on our interactions on Twitter, but most of their fans didn’t seem to want to believe it. I guess they thought he deserved better than some random girl from his school. They thought he would be dating a celebrity, not just some ordinary girl.
“Maybe it’s better this way,” Jude said. “It seemed like Megan was happy with how the news slowly released about her being Hudson’s girlfriend. Less attention.”
“Oh, Jude,” I sighed. “You should know by now that Megan and I are complete opposites when it comes to attention—she avoids it at all costs while I thrive from it.”
“How on earth you two are best friends remains a mystery.”
“The best friendships are ones based on opposites like that,” I said. I groaned and stretched, feeling like every muscle in my body was popping. “Come on. It’s about time for the bonfire.”
Jude groaned as well. “But I don’t want to get up.”
“Fine.” I rolled off his bed, somehow managing to land on my feet. “I guess I’ll go without you, then.”
He glared at me. “You are becoming way too comfortable in this house. Suggesting you’ll go to the bonfire without me? Traitorous.”
I laughed. “You know, most guys would probably be happy their girlfriend is so comfortable with his friends.”
“Yeah, well, I’m the jealous type,” Jude said. He finally got to his feet and was by me in a flash, grappling me into a hug. I laughed and jokingly tried to pull away, but he just tightened his grip and kissed my cheek. “I want you all to myself.”
My phone started buzzing on the dresser, and I leaned over to check it. I snorted when I saw the dozen missed texts in the group chat. A few of them were from before I’d even come over, but most were from just now.
