“You’re not the first man I’ve ever touched,” he confessed. “There was a player I roomed with, back when I was in college?—”

The thought of anyone—man or woman—touching Damien like this had me holding him tighter. I didn’t want to hear about his past. No fucking way. I was the one with him now. Me. Not that I could even express that in words at this point. I’d neverhad a desire to claim a guy I’d fucked around with, but Damien? It was all too natural.

Instead of telling him how I was feeling, I bit down on the skin of his neck, sucking hard, marking what was mine, as his groans echoed around me.

“He and I… we would… jerk each other off,” he panted, writhing in my arms. “One time, we had a threesome with a woman.”

“I don’t want to hear about it,” I snarled, jealousy and passion fighting for dominance.

I turned him around until his back hit the tiled wall and ravaged his mouth in a punishing kiss. When I finally let him up for air, his bright blues were molten.

“You asked. I’m trying to explain.”

“I get it,” I whispered. “You’re not completely new to sex with a guy. But I don’t want to hear the details. Not about him, and not about anyone, including your wife.”

“Ex-wife,” Damien clarified and raised one eyebrow. “And the same goes.”

“I’ve only had casual sex. It didn’t mean anything but a release.”

“And this? Am I the same?”

I shook my head. Damien didn’t look convinced.

“Do you get what’s going on here with you and me? I wouldn’t risk my career for a quick fuck. This is more than that. At least, it is to me,” he pronounced boldly, his gaze locked on mine. “If you don’t feel the same, that’s fine. Done is done. We can walk away like nothing happened.”

No fucking way.

“I can’t do that,” I replied and kissed him again. “I’m not walking away. Not that I know what I’m doing when it comes to a relationship, but that’s what this is, right? I don’t want to bewith anyone else. This, us, it isn’t casual, Damien. I need you to know that.”

He finally relaxed against me.

“We gotta be careful, though,” he admitted. “If anyone finds out I’m having sex with one of my players, there goes my entire career.”

“We agreed this is more than sex, but I know what you mean. It’s better for everyone if we keep this private. For now.”

Damien swiped an agitated hand through his wet hair.

“Why does everything have to be so fucking difficult? After years of being single, I finally find someone I connect with, but I have to hide like I’ve got a dirty secret.”

“It’soursecret.” I leaned in and kissed him. “And dirty can be fun.”

“Si, I’m serious.”

“I know, baby, but let’s take it one day at a time, all right? We’re both under a shitload of pressure.”

“Baby?”

“Too much?” I asked.

I wasn’t a fan of nicknames, but like everything with this man, I was breaking all my rules.

“No,” he stated and pulled me into his arms. “I like it.”

“Well, enjoy it because that’s about as romantic as I get.”

“Romance, eh?”

Instead of replying to that, I turned around and placed my hands on the wall.
