Great. Flores is going to throw a temper tantrum.

“I hope to see you again soon, Elliott.”

“Likewise, Kam.”

Allowing myself one more second, I stare at her. I turn on my heels and make my way to the exit, pushing past Marcus through the double doors.

Marcus’s bike is outside, parked on the sidewalk.

What a lazy ass. He could have walked here like I did, but, no. He had to ride his fucking bike.

He picks up his spare helmet and slams it into my gut. “Put it on. Let’s go.”

“Why are you always so mad at me?” I ask, placing the helmet on my head, then let the intercom link up. “Is it because of her?” I motion to the bar.

He swings his leg over, mounting the bike and bringing it to life. “Just get on the bike, Kam.”

I get on the back, sitting straight up, waiting for my answer, but it never comes.

He doesn’t even wait for me to wrap my hands around his waist before he takes off.

I jump forward, grasping him with both arms. “You fucking dick.”

Silent the whole ride, he hauls ass around each turn, causing me to grip him tighter. His toned back against mychest brings me memories of the last time I felt it bare and sweaty.

He slams on the brakes, snapping me out of my dirty memory.

“It’s common courtesy to not get a boner when riding on someone else’s bike, you know?” he says to me as he flips the kickstand out to hold the bike in place.

I chuckle, hopping off the bike and looking around the town border, where Hunter is parked off the road in his blacked-out SUV.

“And why didn’t we meet at the hotel?” I ask, walking to the driver’s window.

“Talk to Hunter?” Marcus says as I toss him the helmet.

Hunter rolls down his window. “Looks like your acting skills paid off.”

Processing the situation at hand, I look at him.

He is saying I got in. I passed the little test they had me going through.

“I already packed the essentials, but we have to go get some—”

“Camping supplies,” I tease, wagging my brows at him.

Hunter shakes his head at me. “Jeez, yeahcamping supplies.Just get in the car, Kam.”

“Everyone really needs to stop bossing me around,” I say, still doing what he says.

Hunter drives on to the paved road, with Marcus following on his bike.

This is going to be interesting.

Eden

“Idon’t think he is coming today, Eden.” Lianne grabs my hand and drags me off the bar stool. “Come dance with me. Forget about him.”
