Kia felt Sullivan take a deep breath, and it felt like Sullivan was relaxing herself and holding herself back at the same time.

“No one’s looking,” Sullivan said. “There’s no audience. You can just be in your body.”

If someone had built Kia a perfect roller coaster where every dip and rise was designed exactly for her, it wouldn’t have been as much fun as the sensations flooding her body. The hardness of the vibrator cushioned by the pillow. Her own hips thrusting, Sullivan adding just enough pressure and movement to take control away from Kia but not so much that Kia couldn’t find the place and pressure she needed.

Kia moaned again.

“Too much?” Sullivan asked.

“Perfect,” Kia gasped.

Sullivan rocked back and forth. Kia’s hips bucked, her cries grew faster and higher. Kia gripped the sheets. And nothing had ever been more perfect, not the most delicate lavender-honey and lemon panna cotta or the freshest heirloom tomato.

“Oh, Sullivan, yes!” Then Kia was silent as she came.

Sullivan kept up her rhythm, taking Kia higher and higher, until a wave, like sugar carried on champagne, claimed Kia and she went limp. Sullivan lay on top of her, supporting some of her weight on her arms. And when Kia’s breath had returned to normal, Sullivan rolled off her, keeping one arm around Kia’s waist and holding her close.

“What can I do for you?” Kia asked, turning toward Sullivan. The orgasm had washed away her performance anxiety. If Sullivan liked sex, she’d know how to ask for what she wanted.Sullivan snuggled closer.

Sullivan chuckled. “I took advantage of your gorgeous ass.”

“You came?”

“Easily.”

“But is there anything else?”

Sullivan pulled Kia against her.

“Don’t get up and check your phone.”

“I forgot I had one,” Kia said. “I know what I should do. Roll over.” Kia gently rolled Sullivan onto her side. “I’m the big spoon this time. You have to tell me if I’ve mastered cuddling.”

Sullivan felt so good in her arms. Being the big spoon felt as much like being held as being the little spoon. Sullivan nestled against her. Their breathing fell into rhythm together.

“That was fun,” Sullivan said dreamily. “Thank you.”

“Anytime, Chef,” Kia whispered. “Anytime.”

She felt Sullivan twitch as sleep took her. And Kia determined that she would stay up all night long so she didn’t miss a second of the time with Sullivan. But like a haze of magic pollen, Sullivan’s sleep drifted over her, lulling her into pastel dreams. She’d closed her eyes for only a moment, but when she opened them, it was morning.

Sullivan woke tothe lovely chocolate-coconut smell of Kia’s hair and Kia’s arm around her. Kia blinked her eyes open.

“Hi,” Kia said.

“Hi, lover,” Sullivan said. “I never say this, but I so wish I didn’t have to go to work today. I’d rather stay here with you.”

“Take me with you.”

“To Mirepoix?”

“Let me share my point six percent with your restaurant.”

Sullivan had loved the thirty minutes they’d spent in the kitchen at the Tennis Skort. She couldn’t think of anything better than cooking all day and night with Kia. Well… she could think of a few things that’d be better, but spending the day in the restaurant with Kia would be wonderful.

“This morning is mostly prep. You okay with chopping and making sauces?”
