“I just wanted to thank you guys for coming here. I told Meco I wanted to get to know everybody more, so this is why I planned this trip. Plus, we all work so hard and are so busy that I felt we needed this getaway. I have so much planned for us so get ready. It’s going to be many more to come. Cheers.”
Everyone held their glass in the air before taking a sip. Lo wasn’t a group person. He preferred to be alone, but heappreciated being with his family after having one of the hardest periods in his life.
Bria hated how her soul was at ease in Lo’s presence, or how he soothed the parts of her that were unsure. He was chaos wrapped in a six-foot-three form and still, her heart was sealed and delivered to him. Being wrapped in his arms was the medicine she needed after suffering through the back and forth she had been dealing with. Her heart against her mind; round after round of combatting each other only for her heart to claim the victory.
They laid in their room. Skin to skin, body to body while the ceiling fan provided a cool breeze. Laying on Lo’s chest, Bria memorized the tempo of his heartbeat while he held her in his arms.
“Lo.”
“Yeah.”
“I did something that you might not like but I don't want to keep anything from you.”
His silence made Bria uneasy as she impatiently awaited his response.
“Whatever it is, I don't wanna know.”
Lifting her head, she looked at the silhouette of his face. “Why not?”
“Because… I don't wanna know. Let me be ignorant since it’ll be hard for me to walk away from you.”
The space between her brows dipped as confusion settled on her face. “Huh? What do you think I did?”
“I don't know… did you cheat?”
“No, of course not. I told you I would never do anything to purposely hurt you, Lo. I meant that.”
He seemed to breathe a sigh of relief. “Then, what did you do?”
Bria resumed her position on his chest while building the courage to reveal herself.
“I went to see your mom.”
Lo’s muscles steeled beneath her. “Why?”
“I don't have a definite answer. After you told me what happened to you, I felt compelled to go see her.”
“And?”
“And we talked. She’s hurt just like you are. I really felt for her. Her story just seems so authentic. You need to hear her side, especially when it comes to your aunt. She tells a very different version and somehow, I believe her. It seems that the communication wasn’t clear between you guys and with your aunt mixed into that, I can see why you all haven’t made up.”
Ever since her talk with Ada, Bria couldn’t get the details of their conversation out of her mind. Her heart belonged to Lo, but her heart extended to Ada and Dax as well.
“Are you mad at me?”
“…No.”
“Are you just saying that? You know how you like to sit on shit then reveal it when it’s time.”
“You don't know me.”
There was humor in his tone which caused her to smirk. Bria climbed on top of him, feeling his dick poke her center. She held his hairy cheeks and kissed his lips.
“I do know you, Kylo Crown, and that’s what scares me. You're so unpredictable at times but I love you. I’ve never had anyone have a pull on me like you. There are so many flaws you possess but there are good things about you that I admire. You're loved by me, and I’m so happy that you're my husband and the father of my child.”
Bria kissed him again, but he cut the gesture short by moving his head.
“What you just say?”
