“Don’t care,” I mutter; my face smashed between her glorious breasts as I rut inside her. She woke me up with her mouth, the constriction of her throat around the head of my cock causing me to jackknife in the hotel bed. I pulled her on top of me and let her sink down. She rode me, bringing herself to climax with my hands pulling her nipples and then I flipped her to her back and slammed into her. And now here we are, her pussy pulsing around my cock, my face in her tits, and her nails scoring the skin of my back.

“Oh, God! Crue, you’re gonna be…Yes! Late! You’re gonna be late! Don’t stop! Right there! Oh, oh, FUCK!” I drive as deep as I can, her snatch tighter than I’ve ever felt it, and let go when she squirts.

“PRIBULA!” Beiler yells down the line. My head snaps up and I meet his angry stare. “You think you can spare the team a few more minutes of your attention in the hopes we might keep the fucking lead and win the God damn Rose Bowl?”

“Sure, Coach.” I’m going to pay for that later. I take a deep breath, wincing when my dick twitches against the protective cup, pull my helmet over my head and get back in the game. Now is not the time to think of Phia and how fucking her is like an outof body experience. My body needs to be here on the field and so does my mind.

A minute and a half left and up by a touchdown in the last football game of my career, academic or otherwise, in the fucking Rose Bowl, with my girl, her parents, my family and the world watching. My shoulders stiffen under the weight of all that pressure before I push it off.

Another day, another game, another play. I’ve got this, just like I’ve had this for the last 16 years of my life.

“Whoever screws up has to hand wash all the jock straps!” I challenge the offensive line as we move into position. We’re so close to victory. And we didn’t get here by being stupid. 90 seconds remain, we’ve gotta get through one play and then we can kneel on the next and take the win. Our quarterback, Hunter Hayes, calls the play and I get down, my fingers digging into the turf for possibly the last time. I hear the snap and rush into the fray. Helmets clash. Grunts, groans, and the screaming of fans. I stand up just in time to see Swearengen take off with the ball down the sideline. It was a simple hand-off and quick down, knowing the other team would be fighting tooth and nail to regain possession of the ball, and then we could take a knee to run out the play clock. Instead, my line does such a good job that we’ve cleared the path for one of our running backs to…score a motherfucking touchdown!

The entire stadium goes fucking nuts. That wasn’t supposed to happen. But damned if it did and it was spectacular! About a minute left, we take our time getting off field, smacking helmets with special teams on our way back to the bench. I find Phia looking at me and blow her a kiss. She rolls her eyes but still reaches up like she’s catching it.

Fucking hell, I love that woman. And tonight…I’m closing one chapter of my life and turning the page to begin the next, in more ways than one. She finished her thesis and defended it brilliantly. She will graduate officially in the spring, but my woman has earned her master’s and I am so fucking proud of her. She and her parents joined mine and my sisters to fly out to Pasadena, California with me for the Rose Bowl. Her dad is giving us all whiplash, one minute he’s practically catatonic and the next he’s as hyper as a kid on sugar, meeting players, coaches, alumni, NFL players and scouts, and touring the stadium. I’m glad he’ll be here to witness our victory.

Our kicker does his thing, sailing the ball through the uprights and increasing our lead by another point. With less than a minute on the clock, the other team drags themselves onto the field to receive the ball. The ball sails through the air to the other end, and they catch it around the 15 yard-line. I stand up with the rest of the team and practically everyone in the stands when instead of kneeling the dude starts running. I guess they figure they have nothing left to lose, but Jesus.

“OH SHIT!” Minniefield tackles the receiver, and the ball falls out of his hands. Vostatek recovers the fumble and takes off for the endzone. Somebody on the other team is paying attention and knocks him to his ass on the 10-yard line.

It’s deafening in the stadium. I can’t even hear myself speak, but the energy is intoxicating. We all look to Beiler for what to do next. He smiles and starts barking orders. I laugh as I take the field, surrounded by my senior teammates who are also playing their last game. Beiler is a class act, giving us each one last time to step on the field as players, as a team. The center snaps the ball; our back-up quarterback catches it and takes a knee.

It's over. We won.

My team floods the field, we’re hugging and jumping up and down in celebration, but I’m looking for my woman. I squeeze between a few of the guys and head toward the sideline. I pass Edee, who travelled with the team, and give her a head nod, she snaps away on her camera as she follows me. Phia watches me, so happy she’s bouncing on her feet, her entire face is lit up with a radiant smile. And it’s aimed my way. I’m a lucky son of a bitch.

She opens her arms for me to lift her up, as is my usual after the games, instead I drop to one knee. Edee click, click, clicks, moving around us to get every angle. “Marry me, pretty girl.” Phia’s mouth opens in shock, but she quickly recovers. “Fly to Vegas with me and let’s get married. I’m ready for the first day of the rest of our lives, are you?” She cocks a hip and plants her fists on the swell. I love gripping her there when she rides me, or when I’m fucking her from behind.

“When I said try again, I didn’t mean take over 2 months! Geez.” She can’t keep up the exasperated act, her eyes betraying her as they well with tears. I laugh at her sass, one of the many things I love about this amazing woman.

“I’m doing it now, so what’ll it be?”

Phia inhales deeply, bending at her waist until her lips ghost across mine. “When do we leave?” I slip the ring on her finger, twisting it in place, then take her mouth in a desperate kiss.

I have trophies, awards, medals, and championship rings. I have a top-notch education, a dream job lined up, and a great family.

Yet, none of it means as much as her.
