Bess

And that’s OK with you? I thought you were keen on the glorious isolation aspect.

Nina

Yeah, it’s OK. She’s very persuasive. I sort of found myself agreeing. But you know what? She seems OK and from what I can smell, she’s a very good cook!

Bess

Silver linings and all that.

Nina

Exactly.

Bess

And Project Pierre is still on?

Nina

Very much so. I’m fully focused! Pierre looked amazing and kind of just the same, even though he was older obviously… But gorgeous!

Bess

Fab. Although… you know, be careful.

Nina

Oh, don’t worry… I’ve told myself that whatever happens, it’s a great place to have a holiday. Any more, well, icing on the cake! Thinking of trying a bit of rollerblading!

Bess

Rollerblading? That’s not very French… or sensible. But hey, why not. Anyway, keep me posted on all developing events. I’m up to my eyeballs at work and could do with the distraction.

Nina

Will do. Speak soon.

Bess

Yep. TTYL xx

Smiling to herself, Nina opened up her email and checked her latest messages.

Hi Nina,

Glad to hear things are going well on your holiday!

Quick question: you mentioned the house sale is going through–so I’ve started getting your room ready! I have all your old bedding – do you still like NSYNC? If not, I can always put the duvet cover on inside out.

We’re off out to the theatre tonight. The am-drams are putting on a performance ofThe Full Montyat the Acorn Theatre. Front row tickets! I’ve managed to persuade Dad to come, even though he thinks he won’t be able to sit through the performance what with his scratched derrière. I suggested he bring a rubber ring, but he was having none of it!

Rupert sends his love. He’s very settled – here’s a snap!

Anyway, must go.

Speak soon.
