“To help you along,” she purred, raking her talons over his chest. “I want to see you come when you bite him.”

“No.” But there was a groan running through the word.

Dietrik’s eyes were rolling as he humped my leg, and Brock’s were focused on his mother’s hands as she worked Talakai. Her arm bumped my side as she cupped him and stroked. “That’s my boy. So responsive.”

Talakai groaned again, his head falling back, and lips pulling back from his teeth.

Dammit, she was twisting and perverting this beyond redemption. But he was helpless in the grip of the pheromones, and if it helped him to the decision, then so be it.

Xumi stepped aside as the sons rammed my back against the chained Dragon. Brock fisted my hair, twisting my head to the side.

I gritted my teeth. “Talakai. Do it.”

“Matt...” The word was a moan.

“Do it, mate. I won’t hold it against you in the morning.”

Xumi’s arm bumped rhythmically into my back. Talakai exhaled, a ragged, desperate sound. And then I felt his hot breath on my shoulder. Then his tongue touched my skin—and my body responded.

No,it wasn’t supposed to do that—

He bit down.

The pain surged through me. He muffled his cry against my shoulder as the combination of pheromones, Xumi, and the bite itself took him to the very edge. I fought my own reaction—be damned if I’d give Xumi one iota of perverted satisfaction. Why had I reacted at all?

But then again, the Dragon and I were linked. Linked by a certain female with beautiful bicolored eyes.

Matt...

Not now, Angel.

But I feel weird. Something weird, with you.

I felt weird. Because I could swear I sensed things from Talakai—a surge of pleasure mixed with pain. It washed through and over me as his teeth sank deeply into the muscle, and he injected me with his virus.

The virus that just might make me into a freak of nature.

A mutant. No longer a Dire.

Meanwhile, Xumi’s hands took him where he either didn’t, or did, want to go. With an agonized groan, he sprayed hot all over my back. And my body was halfway there with him. I gritted my teeth, and fought it back.

Are you okay?

No. No, I wasn’t. But she didn’t need to know that.I’m fine, Angel. But I’m busy here. No time to talk.

She subsided, but worry pulsed along the link. Blood ran down my shoulder. As Talakai withdrew his teeth, I sensed the depth of his shame.

“It’s okay, mate.” My voice didn’t sound like my own. “You did what you had to do.”

He didn’t answer, but Xumi did. “He was a good Dragon.” One hand broke open a vial and poured it over Talakai’s face as her other worked between her own legs. “I’ve trained him well.”

I couldn’t help it. I growled at her. Her eyes lit right up. “I can’t wait to see if the pheromones will work on you, my pet,” she said. “It will be such fun playing with you two. You make a handsome pair.”

Talakai was so close to me that I felt the shudder pass through him. Xumi pulled away from us and gestured to her sons. Dietrik stepped back from my thigh with reluctance, while Brock went to the controls. The chains dragged me away.

When I glanced back at Talakai, the festy pheromones had him once again in a right state, already fully erect and quivering. The Dragon shot me the briefest of glances, his eyes both furious and mortified.

In a single, fluid movement, Xumi climbed onto him.
