The second the door closed behind Diesel, a burst of laughter escaped Kaz, and he only laughed harder when Miles glared at him.
“It’s not funny.”
“It’s a little funny,” he managed to get out before a new wave of laughter hit him.
Miles’s lips twitched as he shook his head, and a second later, he was laughing, too.
At least it hadn’t been Ace walking in on them, or everyone would know by now. While he considered Ace a friend, and they were often partners in crime, he knew betterthan to share any secrets with him. They were known for doing stupid shit when they were together, but no matter what they got into, he doubted anything could top the time Ace had been doing wheelies to show off and had driven straight into a firetruck. He still had a recording of it, and he loved to spring it on Ace to see the man splutter and get all red in the face.
When he managed to stop laughing, he pulled his pants up and looked around for something he could use to dry his come off the table.
Miles watched him with a frown. “So, I take it you’re not mad about getting caught?”
Kaz shrugged. “It’s D. He’s not gonna tell anyone.”
Miles nibbled on his bottom lip, his gaze dropping to the ground. Miles’s reaction confused him. He couldn’t read that expression.
“Hey,” he said, cupping Miles’s face in his hands, golden-brown eyes shooting up to meet his gaze. “What’s going through your head right now?”
Miles sighed, and a wry smile spread on his lips. “Nothing. Just glad it wasn’t your dad. I’m pretty sure this isn’t what our parents had in mind when they decided to try and make us get along.”
Kaz huffed out a laugh.
“No, I don’t think it was.” He wagged his brows at Miles. “Guess we superseded their expectations.”
Miles rolled his eyes. “Blew ‘em right outta the water.”
“Well, there’s certainly been a lot of blowing involved.”
He kissed Miles before he could roll his eyes again, holding on tight as hands slid into his hair and that devious tongue made a meal out of his mouth. He knew they needed to clean up and get the hell outta there, but he couldn’t help taking this moment with Miles. The closer they got to that impending deadline of Miles’s departure, the more each kiss meant to him.
CHAPTER TWELVE
Miles
KAZ PUT his shirt and cut back on, and while he’d cleaned up the come on the table, he’d left Miles’s come on his back. It made him want to bend Kaz right back over the table again.
He shook his head at himself and strode to the nearest window, opening it to let the smell of sex out. If they were lucky, Kaz’s dads would just think it was one of the biker couples and not them. The thought brought him up short. A part of him was relieved that they hadn’t been completely found out, another part of him was disappointed. He wasn’t sure what to think about Kaz’s reaction because clearly he wasn’t worried, but he also seemed perfectly happy to keep them a secret.
He wasn’t even sure why he cared. So far, they were just fucking. They were just having fun. Except, the more he got to know Kaz, the more he found he liked him. He liked him a lot. Even if he was a brat sometimes. When they talked?reallytalked?the man he got to know was the opposite of the image he’d created in his mind.
He looked at Kaz and knew he was foolish for feeling thatfluttering in his stomach. Kaz was a biker. He’d bullied him for years. He was everything he didn’t want and yet… It felt almostmorefoolish not to admit just how much hedidwant Kaz.
The sex was incredible. He never let go the way he did with Kaz. Kaz brought out an almost possessive side to him that he hadn’t known existed. Kaz was bringing out a whole lot of things he hadn’t known about himself. He wasn’t sure when it happened, but he trusted Kaz.
“Miles?”
He jerked his head up to find Kaz standing by the door, his brows furrowed.
“You coming?” Kaz asked, motioning with a tilt of his head at the door.
“Yeah,” he croaked out and took off toward Kaz.
Kaz opened the door, and as Miles stepped out first, a hand trailed over the small of his back. It was things like that. Soft caresses. Gentle touches when they weren’t necessary. It confused him almost as much as it thrilled him.
“Let’s go for a ride,” Kaz said, grinning when Miles looked over his shoulder at him.
He nodded, his throat thick and the words nonexistent.
