I spun around, facing him. “Have you been a good boy?”

“How do you mean?”

“Last time we spoke, I gave you a task. Do you remember it?”

He nodded slowly. “You told me not to jerk off until we met again.”

“And? Did you succeed?”

“Oh, no.”

The blasé, fuck-you way he said it made my eyebrows hike up my forehead. Shocked, but not surprised. Submissive boys were just like every other boys: entitled, fucking pricks. Anger washed through my veins, hot as lightning.

“No? It was a pretty simple fucking task.”

He simply lifted a shoulder in a shrug.

Maybe Opheliashouldcome back. I was going to murder him.

I squared off in front of him. “When?”

“When what?”

“When did you jerk off?”

Thinking: maybe he broke on day five. Day six? Maybe seven days was too much…

“As soon as I got home,” he said. “I thought about the way you arched your back when I rubbed your foot. The little moans you made when I pressed into your arch. I came so hard, I pulled a muscle.”

Well, okay, that image was hot, but—“You didn’t even try.”

The look in his eyes…oh, he was enjoying this. He enjoyed being a little disobedient brat. “Was that a question?”

“Shut up.” I closed the space between us and grabbed him by the throat. My grip forced his chin up, so those sharp eyes met mine. “You’re lack of self-control is fucking pathetic. Do you know that?”

I could feel him breathing hard against my thumb. “Yes.”

“What are you going to do about it?”

He struggled. Said nothing.

I tightened my grip.

“Thatwas a question.”

“Punish me,” he sputtered.

“What?”

His voice came out in a hungry rasp. “Punish. Me.”

That was what I promised—wasn’t it? If he disobeyed, I would punish him.

The only problem was: I didn’t actually think this all the way through.

Because, honestly, it didn’t even cross my mind that he would disobey. No—gleefullydisobey. I’d always been an obedient submissive. My doms saidjumpand I’d askoff what?

Dorian was a different breed entirely. Now I’d made a promise, and I had to follow through on it. I had to teach him a lesson.
