“We’ve searched for all kinds of crazy things and superstitions.” She answered dancing around his question.
He harrumphed under his breath. “I thought you were just a ghost hunter.”
A smile slipped onto her lips. “We’ve hunted everything from Bigfoot to the Moth Man.”
“I guess you didn’t find much, considering reports verifying their existence has never made front page news.”
She frowned. “We find plenty of unexplainable things but no definitive proof like a big dead foot.”
“Why do you suppose that is?” he asked.
She shrugged. “If I knew that answer, I’d be rich. We’ve experienced enough to keep viewers entertained. Even caught a full-body apparition and PK activity.”
“P what?” he asked.
“Psychokinetic activity associated with poltergeists,” she clarified. “But nowadays more people are believers thanks to all of the personal videos that have captured things. More than half the world wants to believe in ghosts.”
“Why is that?” I asked.
“Because the unknown after death is far scarier than disembodied voices and unexplainable noises.”
Not that death scared her. She’d experienced it once before.
