“I agree that probably wasn’t the best course of action, given how little we know about you. I discussed that with the guys this morning. But since you’ve brought it up, I think it would be important for you to tell Alek, Ivan, and Nik exactly how you felt about it so you can clear the air.”

Chapter 14

Ivan

Lead The Way

Her face turned red as Alek leaned back in his chair, looking smug. When she didn’t speak, he did. “Yes, kitten, why don’t you tell Dr. Marcel how you felt from beginning to end? Don’t forget to tell him how you grabbed my hand and put it between your thick thighs. And how you rubbed against my fingers in my bed last night. Tell him how wet my sweet little kitty was,” Alek said, while her face turned purple.

“Oh, it’s yours now?” Nik asked.

“Alek, Nik, this is not helpful,” Marcel said, exasperated.

“You’re such a fucking ass, Aleksandr.” She crossed her arms over her chest, which only amplified it.

“I think someone didn’t learn their lesson last night. I could’ve sworn the five swats I gave you were for language,” Alek said, voicing my thoughts.

“Oh, shut up! You’re probably just jealous I didn’t suck any part of you. Ask nicely next time, and we can work something out. All for one, and one for all.”

She threw her napkin on her plate and stood to leave. The three of us couldn’t contain ourselves anymore. We erupted in laughter, which only pissed her off even more.

“Wait, what? All for one, and one for all?” Marcel asked.

“This conversation is over. Good evening, Dr. Marcel.” She snatched her phone from the table.

“No, please—”

Her face was priceless as she smashed her finger on the screen, hanging up on him. Turning, she stomped away, her tiny, socked feet hardly making a sound on the hardwood floor.

“Where are you going?” Nik called after her. “I thought you’d die if you didn’t sing for us. Come back, baby girl.”

She turned around and raised her hand, flipping us the bird. With a huff, she turned and fled to her room.

“Let her go for now.” Alek shook his head. “We’ve got a new target that needs our attention. We’ll send for her later.”

The newest target turned out to be a man who had assaulted a thirteen-year-old girl at a friend’s house over a weekend. The perv raped her over several hours before turning her loose and threatening to kill her family if she said anything.

We set out a plan for his game of consequences, and once that was done, my thoughts turned to Kinsley. It was as if Alek had read my mind.

“Gerald, please get Kinsley and ask her to join us in the drawing room.” He fixed himself a drink.

“I can’t believe he did time for it, yet they’re letting him off early. Especially given he contacted her to cause further torment. Did he really tell her she enjoyed it?” I asked Nik, my mind still on the scum we were discussing earlier.

“They couldn’t prove it was him. But he’s going to wish they could’ve by the time we’re through with him. He doesn’t know how much worse it’s going to get for him.” Nik shook his head, the disgust clear in his eyes.

“Who are you talking about?” Kinsley’s small voice broke through our conversation.

“Not something you need to concern yourself with,” Nik said, patting the seat and motioning for her to sit next to him.

She shuffled over to the couch. Her steps sure and precise before climbing up beside him. Positioning herself so her knees pressed against the backrest, she lowered her head against his chest.

Alek and I exchanged a look, and we watched as she worked her magic on him. She nestled her head into his chest, snuggling in with a heavy sigh.

“No, seriously. What were you talking about?”

“I already told you that you don’t need to concern yourself with that. You’re supposed to be singing for us,” he scolded.

She dug in further, trying to get closer if that was possible. Alek’s eyebrows lifted in fascination. “I’m too tired tonight. Ivan wore me out today. I like the sound of your voice, the vibration against my ear. Please, just keep talking. It can be about anything.”
