“You look incredible.I’m going to take you on so many dates if you dress like that for them.”

“In that case, you can take me on three dates, because after that I'm going to run out of fancy clothes.”He winked at me before sauntering over and stretching on his toes to give me a kiss.I met him part way and cupped his face to deepen the kiss before stepping back and shaking my head.

“We should go before I rip those clothes off you and we miss our reservation,” I said breathlessly.

“Okay… yes.Food is also important… I guess?”Emil eyed me like I would be a perfectly adequate dinner and I realised I’d need to be the one with some self control this evening.

“Grab your things,” I said before heading back towards the door.Emil appeared a minute later, stuffing his wallet into the inner pocket of his jacket.

“Over here,” I directed when we stepped out onto the street. We climbed into the back of the taxi I’d booked and headed towards the centre of town.

When we arrived at the small French bistro I’d booked, the host led us to a table in the corner as I’d asked for privacy.

“Damn, Tobe.This place is nice!”Emil whisper-shouted.

I smiled and pulled out his chair for him to take a seat.

“Wow, I’m really getting the princess treatment tonight.”He grinned up at me.

“Anything for you, princess.”I winked before sitting opposite him.

We ordered an unreasonably expensive bottle of red wine to share and we both wanted the French onion soup for a starter.

“This is really nice, thank you.”

I reached across the table and took Emil’s hand in mine.

“I..um… like you a lot, Em.It feels like we went from teammates to practically living together, but as much as I love the nights we spend lounging on the sofa in our joggers, we can have this too.Iwantthis too.To be with you, properly.”I gulped, feeling oddly vulnerable.

Emil’s lip twitched like he was fighting a smile.“I’m yours Tobias, we can have it all.I want it all.Withyou.”

“Fuck.I really want to kiss you, but how I want to kiss you would not be appropriate in a restaurant,” I groaned.

Emil chuckled.“You can kiss me however and wherever you want when we get back to yours.”

“Promise?”

“I’m holding you to it.”

Before we could get too carried away, the waiter came over with our starters, which were delicious.

Emil told me all about his two sisters, who lived on the other side of the country and he missed them a lot.He explained how his parents had been against the idea of him having a career in rugby, fearing it wasn’t safe for an omega, although they’d come around a little since our big win.

I soaked up every morsel of information about Emil like I’d be quizzed on it later. He already knew that it was just me and my mum in my family, since he’d been around for her daily phone calls. My dad had never been in the picture and I didn’t have siblings or extended family, so we were closer than was probably normal, but Emil didn’t seem to judge me for it.

“I’d love to meet her,” he said.

“Yeah?”

“Of course!”He laughed.“She made you, why wouldn't I?”

“You know you’re definitely getting laid tonight, you don’t need to sweet talk me.”

“Maybe I’m going to tempt you to try something… different tonight.”Although Emil’s voice was playful, he looked a little nervous, fiddling with his napkin.

“Something different?”I asked.

He glanced around presumably to see if anyone was in earshot, but they weren’t.“Would you ever… you know?Swap?”
