“You should show me the ones I haven’t seen,” Linus blurted.

Storm stood. He plucked off the pair of gloves he had tucked into his waistband, handing them over.

These gloves were a lot heavier than Linus expected; he almost dropped them. When he examined them more closely, he realized that the gloves had extra padding over the fingers and knuckles—heavy padding, as though there was something dense sewn into the leather.

“Neat, aren’t they?” Storm grinned. “They’re weighted knuckle gloves. Powdered steel in the pads. They protect my hands frominjury by absorbing some shock, but the weight also means they pack quite the punch. Not quite as effective as a brass knuckle, but these fly way under the radar.”

All this time Storm had been present in Linus’ classes... He had been armed.

Storm pulled out a handgun from his jacket. He set it down and took off the jacket, then his T-shirt. His pecs and biceps flexed.

Linus had to drag his eyes away from all that bare skin. Only for Storm to unbuckle his belt.

Storm wrapped the leather end of the belt around his fist, showing Linus the heavy steel buckle. “If you swing this around like a whip, you’ll put some distance between yourself and an attacker. It’ll cut pretty badly, too, if you swing it hard enough.”

“Don’t you need it to hold up your pants?”

“Nah. My pants stay on well enough by themselves.”

Linus wouldn’t have believed him, but Storm’s thighs were... thick. And they really did hold up his pants.

Storm retrieved a pair of folding knives from his pockets, before stepping out of his pants.

And now he was in a pair of gray boxer-briefs that hid absolutely nothing.

“That’s... a lot of weapons,” Linus said, still trying to wrap his mind around all this.

Storm smirked. “Last weapon’s in here.”

He cupped the front of his underwear and hefted.

Linus hid his face in his hands, groaning. “That was so bad.”

“Well, I promise that you’ll only get this weapon if you ask nicely for it.”

Linus’ face burned. “I... I already did.”

Storm rumbled low in his chest. “Oh, you definitely did.”

He spent a while watching Linus with his dark eyes. Linus didn’t know how to react, so he stood there just holding Storm’s gloves.

“Want that load right now, sweetheart?” Storm murmured.

Linus’ mouth went dry. “Aren’t you hungry?”

His alpha’s smile grew. “I was thinking you could show me a new way to share your bed.”

SHARING A BED

Linus forgothow to breathe when Storm stepped closer.

His alpha was a lot to take in. Storm was almost completely naked, his muscles rippling, a dark trail of hair leading down his abdomen into his boxer-briefs.

The bulge in his underwear was growing bigger, too.

“Are you still in heat?” Storm murmured when he’d backed Linus up against the foot of the bed.
