“Mine,” Storm growled.
And he leaned in, pressing his parted lips to the side of Linus’ neck, the sharp edges of his teeth grazing Linus’ skin.
Olson’s eyes bugged out of his head.
Linus returned his best friend’s stare, his pulse thumping beneath Storm’s teeth. “I trust him.”
Storm rumbled, biting down gently. He nuzzled Linus’ neck and pulled away just enough to straighten up behind him.
Olson continued to gape.
Rex grinned. “Storm good.”
“Storm protect,” Storm said.
Olson shook his head in disbelief. Then he sighed. “Damn it.”
“You’re the one with a reincarnated bondmate,” Linus said. “If anything, yours is the more questionable relationship.”
“I trust Rex without question,” Olson grumbled.
“Then you know how I feel,” Linus replied.
Olson sighed. “Fine.” He looked from Linus to Storm and back, finally standing up. Then he rubbed his belly, only to have Rex press close and cradle his belly too.
Linus had ached to touch Olson’s belly before this. But now that he had spent his heat with Storm, now that Storm had pumped him full of come...
Maybe something might take in his body.
Maybe he would have a round belly that he could cradle.
“Thanks for stopping by my apartment,” Linus said to Olson. “I really appreciate it when you help with my heats.”
Olson huffed and glanced at Storm. “I’m guessing you don’t need my help this time.”
“Well, actually...” Linus blushed when Olson raised an eyebrow. “My heat came early. A few hours ago. Hence all of this...” Linus waved at the office around them. “The overwhelming room spray.”
Olson’s eyes widened. He sniffed delicately. “Fucking hell, Linny. You could’ve told me aboutthat.”
“You said you didn’t want details about my heats! There were way too many details with this one.”
“Did you at least use protection?”
Linus looked at him guiltily. “Did you?”
Olson rolled his eyes. “Obviously I’m not in any position to judge you.”
Linus stood though, closing the distance between them to give Olson a sideways hug. “I’m sorry I haven’t said much lately. I’ve been... distracted.”
Olson coughed and ruffled Linus’ hair. “Sure. ‘Distracted’.” He gave Storm a hard look. “If you hurt even a single hair on Linus’ head, I’ll make sure you’ll regret it.”
Storm nodded. “Yeah. I just want to keep him safe.”
“Good. Don’t be a stranger, Linny.” Olson hugged Linus back tightly. “I’ve missed you.”
“Sorry,” Linus mumbled, leaning into him. “For what it’s worth, I’m really glad you found Rex.”
“Thanks. He’s the best thing that ever happened to me.” Olson rubbed their cheeks together. Then he stepped into Rex’s side, and the pair of them left the office.
