“Fuck, Ash—” Her voice is broken, her fingers fisting the sheets as I drive into her over and over. The gorgeous sounds spilling from her lips only fuel me, making me move faster and harder, determined to push her right over the edge.

“That’s it, baby.” I groan, feeling her body tighten around me, that telltale shudder in her thighs. “Let go for me.”

“Ash—I’m—” Her voice catches, and then she’s gone.

She cries out, her whole body trembling as she comes undone around me, clenching so tight it nearly knocks the breath from my lungs. The way she grips me, the way she moans my name like I’m the only thing that exists—it shatters the last bit of my control.

“Fuck,” I growl, thrusting deep one last time before I let go, pleasure slamming into me so hard I see white. My hips stutter, my hold on her tightening as I spill into her, groaning against her shoulder, completely wrecked.

For a long moment, all I can hear is our ragged breathing, the sound of our bodies pressed together, and the way her heartbeat pounds in sync with mine.

I finally collapse beside her, pulling her into my arms and pressing a slow, lazy kiss on her shoulder.

“Jesus,” I murmur, still breathless, smirking against her skin. “You’re gonna be the death of me, Amelia.”

Ishift slightly, and that’s when I feel him.

Hard. Ready. Pressed against me like his body already knows what I need before I do.

A slow heat curls low in my stomach, my body instantly awake, instantly craving more. I roll over, turning to face him, and the sight of him—bare, relaxed, his lips slightly parted as he sleeps—only makes the ache stronger.

Biting my lip, I carefully straddle him, my thighs bracketing his hips, my core pressed right against his cock. Even in sleep, his hands instinctively move to my waist, his grip firm, like he already knows I belong right here.

I grind against him once, slow and teasing, and he lets out a low, sleepy groan. His brows furrow, his hold tightening slightly.

Another roll of my hips, another delicious bit of friction, and suddenly, his eyes snap open. Dark. Hungry.

“Amelia,” he rasps, his voice rough with sleep, his fingers digging into my skin. “What the hell do you think you’re doing?”

I lean down and brush my lips over his jaw, my body already moving against him, already taking what I want. “Waking you up.”

A deep, guttural groan rumbles through his chest, and in the next second, his hands are gripping my hips, guiding me as I sink down onto him, stretching, filling, making me gasp at the perfect way he fits inside me.

“Fuck,” he growls, his head falling back against the pillow, his hands squeezing tighter. “You’re gonna be the death of me.”

I smirk, rolling my hips, sending another wave of pleasure through both of us. “Then what a way to go.”

The hot sprayof the shower washes over me, but it does nothing to cool the heat still simmering between us. Ash’s hands are all over me—lathering soap over my skin, gripping my waist, teasing me in ways that have me breathless all over again. By the time we step out, I’m flushed, my legs still shaky from what we just did, and Ash’s devious grin tells me he knows it.

“Better hurry, baby,” he murmurs, toweling off his hair, completely unbothered because we’re running late. “Wouldn’t want to keep the team waiting.”

I roll my eyes, but I can’t help the way my lips twitch. “You’re the reason we’re late.”

He just chuckles, completely unapologetic, and disappears into the bedroom. I shake my head and focus on getting dressed, slipping into a fitted black flight suit and tying it at my waist while I finish getting ready.

By the time I step into the bedroom, Ash is already dressing in clothes from last night. He has to stop by his place and change before meeting at the airfield. His expression shifts slightly as his gaze rakes over me. His jaw clenches, and for a second, I seethe heat flicker behind his eyes again, like he’s thinking about unzipping me just as fast as I tied it.

I arch a brow. “Eyes up here, pilot.”

His lips curve. But there’s something else there now—something more serious, more controlled. And I know why.

Because when we walk out that door, we’re not this anymore.

We’re not Amelia and Ash, tangled in sheets and shower steam.

We’re Amelia “Phoenix” Maddox and Lieutenant Ash “Dragon” Carr, two professional pilots heading to a flight exhibition, surrounded by our team, our commanding officers, and a crowd of spectators who see us as nothing more than colleagues.

And that means, for the next several hours, we have to pretend like last night, this morning, us—none of it ever happened.
