Adam placed his fingers underneath Jack’s chin and when Jack caught Adam’s gaze, he sucked in a breath at the love and trust in his eyes.
“You don’t have to prove anything to me, baby, you already have.”
Jack then remembered his Christmas gift.He reached into his bedside drawer and pulled out an envelope, handing it to Adam.Curious, Adam took it and Jack held his breath as he opened it.Adam’s eyes widened as he pulled out the papers and unfolded them, reading their planned itinerary and the plane tickets tucked inside.
“You…we’re…Italy for a month?”Adam stuttered as his eyes traveled from their tickets to Jack’s face, back and forth.
“I know you’ve always wanted to see Rome, so I thought we’d make an entire trip out of it.We can go anywhere once we get there, but I wanted you to see Rome first.”
For a long moment, Adam stared speechless into his lap.The silence grew and so did Jack’s anxiety.
Without a word, Adam set aside the papers and moved on top of Jack, devouring his mouth with a kiss that had his body at attention in a matter of seconds.
“Thank you, baby.Thank you.”
“I would do anything for you.As long as your happy and we’re together.”
As the clock struck midnight, Jack kissed his husband one more time.“Merry Christmas, sweetheart.”
“Merry Christmas, baby.”
