Page 15 of Playing with Forever
I’djustscened with her a couple days ago. I had planned to let some time pass then invite her to the club again this weekend, but now that I had a couple of days free, the first thing on my mind was how soon could I see her, and play with her.
My phone felt heavy in my hand, the text half-composed. It would be good for me to text her, right? We’d made an agreement, and wasn’t it now my responsibility to make sure she received her lessons and had access to what she needed to learn about the BDSM world?
And what you need, that treacherous voice in the back of my head mocked me.
Trying not to analyze just how selfish my own motives were for wanting to see her so soon, I sent the text.
CHAPTER5
Andrea
It had only been three days since Chase had rocked my world at The Players Club, but I was already eager for another session with him.
Honestly, it was distracting as hell because our next encounter, whatever it might be, was all I could think about. It was the equivalent of an addiction, like the first time I had sex as a teenager, or when I had snuck my first underaged alcoholic drink. That beautiful taste of something forbidden that made you feel amazing, and made you feelfree. Then, you wanted more because you couldn’t get enough of those intoxicating highs.
As much as I wanted to, I didn’t text Chase. I didn’t want him to think I was too eager or clingy, or trying to make this arrangement between us anything more than it was. I was an adult. I could handle a few days without sex or seeing Chase. But maybe this weekend if I was lucky…
My phone dinged with a text and I looked away from my computer at work to check the incoming message, expecting it to be Madison or Violet. Instead it was from Chase. My heart immediately began to race as I read his note.
Are you free to come to my place this evening after work? I have quite the personal collection I’d like you to see… and maybe try out.
Excitement blossomed in my belly, and just knowing what he was alluding to, my body quivered with anticipation. Biting my bottom lip, I quickly responded.Let me check my calendar.I didn’t want to sound too eager, but not uninterested, either.
You think you’re cute?
I found myself grinning, and also wondering if I was with Chase right now if he’d punish me for being so cheeky.I know I’m cute. And what do you know, I’m free, lucky you. What time would you like me to come over?
6pm. See you then.He followed that up with his address.
“Something’s got a big smile on your face.”
The sound of my co-worker’s voice startled me out of my giddy little bubble, and I glanced up at the man who strolled into my office. “Hi, Brandon.”
Brandon was a nice colleague of mine, and I liked to consider us friends. We’d worked a lot of hours together lately on a massive campaign for a big hotel and casino. Not unusual, here in Vegas.
Unfortunately, he’d also asked me out last week, and I’d gently, but firmly, turned him down. I didn’t want to complicate work by dating someone from the office, and I wasn’t looking for a long-term serious relationship after I’d just gotten out of one. Opting for honesty, I’d told him those things.
What Ihadn’ttold him was that I also wasn’t keen on jumping into the same exact scenario I’d just left with Heath…being with a man who couldn’t fulfill me in the bedroom.
Maybe that was unkind of me to assume, but Brandon’s docile personality unfortunately reminded me of Heath just enough that I couldn’t help but wonder. All that aside, though—no dating coworkers, and no jumping from one relationship to another. Even this thing with Chase wasn’t serious. I needed some time and space to figure myself out.
“Oh, just a funny meme Violet sent me,” I replied, putting my phone away.
“I think it’s sweet how close you two are.” Brandon sat down on the edge of my desk, smiling. “How was your weekend? Do anything fun?”
Well, that was a loaded question with an equally loaded answer. “Oh, not much,” I said with a shrug. “Violet had to work so I just puttered around the house by myself.”
He tipped his head to the side, his brown eyes warm as they met mine. “I always picture you doing something fun, having lots of hobbies. You seem so creative.”
“You’re sweet.” And he was. A littletoosweet, for my tastes. He was so eager and kind, if not a bit overenthusiastic.
“You know,” I said, giving him a smile. “I’ve been thinking about last week, and I wanted to—well I wondered—there’s this lovely woman, I don’t know if you met her, Rebecca? She works in the accounting department. Which I know sounds boring but she’s actually very interesting. She goes rock climbing and camping all the time, and I wondered if you’d like me to set you up with her.”
Brandon blinked a few times, then frowned. He looked upset, in a way I’d never seen him, even when I’d turned him down. “You…you want to set me up with someone?”
“Well, I just thought—”
“I’m not desperate.”
