“Thank you for rescuing me earlier.”
“I’m sorry I wasn’t there thirty seconds sooner to prevent it.” His hands holding my waist tighten. “You okay?”
“I am. What do you say we go back to your cabin where I can show you how much I appreciate you?”
“There’s no need for that, but I like where your head is at.” He lifts me out of the truck, guiding me around the front to the passenger seat.
When he climbs back in, he closes his eyes and takes a deep, cleansing breath. It’s then I realize he’s changed into jeans, a T-shirt, and cowboy boots. He adjusts his monster erection and starts the truck. “I have a surprise for you.”
“I thought you being here was my surprise?”
“Good surprise?”
“For me, yes. For the band, not so much.”
“They were good with it. We have their full support.”
“We do?”
He smiles. “We do.”
“And what about your commitments?”
“Vocal rest.”
“Used that before have you?”
“Maybe a time or two.”
He asks about the reception, and I fill him in on all the latest town gossip. Before I know it, the truck is bouncing down the dirt road to the cabin.
Once we park, he says, “Go change. Your clothes are on the bed.”
“My clothes are on the bed? What clothes?”
“You’ll see.”
“Wait, you’re not coming in?”
“Nope.”
“Why is that?”
“Because if I do, I’ll fuck you until the sun comes up.”
“Works for me.”
“We have plans,” he states firmly.
“Yes, to fuck like rabbits until the sun comes up.”
“Ry, don’t test me.”
Reaching over the console, I attempt to rub my hand over his hard-on, but he stops me. “Woman, I beg you to go in the house and change.”
Still leaning over the console, I kiss his neck before I whisper in his ear. “You sure?”
“So help me, Ryan. If you don’t get in that house and change your clothes in the next five seconds...”
