Greetings, bro-listeners! I’ve just heard the news that this is quickly becoming our most listened to race series, and I don’t want to let you down despite no longer having a co-host – thinking of you, Jason, keep on getting better!
First of all, apologies if this podcast isn’t recorded at the best quality. That’s because I’m taping literally live on the road in Morocco, as I’m heading to a top-secret location.
I promised you all an update once we’d heard Boones’s next announcement, and here it is: that runner 501, Matteo Poddighe, has been promoted to the elite category. That means he’s eligible for the five hundred thousand dollars grand prize. Now wouldn’t that be a story!
It’s going to be interesting to see how he does. Accompanying me in this tin-can car, I’ve got Pete Wendell, ultrarunner and Hot & Sandy DNS-er. Most people who DNS aren’t that keen for an interview, but Pete is an exception to the rule.

I don’t know what happened to my tox screen, but I have never taken any kind of performance-enhancing substances. I took another independent blood test when I got to Ouarzazate the same day I was disqualified. It came back clear.
