The door opens and Leo walks inside the office, along with Rom, who has Blossom sitting on his shoulders holding onto his hair. I say nothing, but it looks like she adopted him.
Mavis is watching Maisie for a reaction, along with me and Thorn. But surprisingly, she says nothing, gives me a nod and stands. “I’ll do my best, Alpha Adira.”
“You only have this one chance, Maisie. If you mess this up as far as being a pack member is concerned, you will be done. Now, go sort yourself out, and make yourself proud. Once you have made yourself proud, I’m sure I will be proud of you, too.” I give her a small smile of encouragement as she turns and walks out of the office with Thorn right behind her.
“Leo, I need you to call a meeting. I need Robbie, Rom, Stella, Thorn and yourself here as we need to discuss Alpha Rudik. I have some information I need to share with you all. Oh, Mavis, you need to be here too.” Once Leo and Mavis have responded I turn to Blossom who is laughing at Rom’s antics. Throwing her in the air and catching her.
Rom places Blossom back on his shoulders, then turns to me. “I’m moving in with Jenni and taking Blossom with me, of course. I have everything packed to take with me. Robbie said he’d make sure the room was ready for the next occupant.”
“Oh, that is great to hear, Rom. I’m so happy for you both. Don’t worry about the room. It seems we have people in and out of them all the time. Anyway, congratulations Rom, and I hope we’ll see some babies or cubs come from you and Jenni.”
“Hey, we’re not talking about starting a family, yet at least. We have Blossom for now, and she’s a handful all on her own.”
I smirk, because Blossom has shifted into her tiger form and the cub is wrapped around Rom’s neck like a scarf. “Go on, but come back for the meeting.”
“Will do, Alpha Adira.” Rom grins when we both hear the tiger cub give a little growl. Her way of sayingbye, see youlater, I think to myself.
When the door closes, I look at Mavis. “We need all the information you’ve gathered, Mavis, regarding Alpha Rudik. I will make sure those that matter know what is happening, but I also need you to organize the paperwork for me to sign for the funds from the bank, and the packlands that are mine.”
“I have sent them a copy of the DNA report. They said they will arrange everything for you to sign. The will was solid on giving you the proceeds of the bank account and the deeds to the packlands. I’ve been trying to find out if anyone is in the packlands. But as yet I have found nothing. I’m not sure if that is a good sign or not. But as it’s the other side of Alpha James’ Dark Water Pack territory, you could ask him when he comes with your father later today.
“That’s a good idea, Mavis. I’ll do that. I hope the bank will hurry because we could use that money to help modernize some things.”
“Everything will fall into place. Remember, you have so many wanting to help, and for the pack to succeed. You can involve Joyce, Dottie, Petra, Troy, Alan and more.” Mavis gives me a shoulder squeeze as she walks past and out of the office.
Leo nods in agreement. “You have to learn to delegate, Adira. But you have people, as Mavis just said, on your side and willing to do whatever it takes.”
Chapter 21
*Adira*
Signing my name I look over the letter I will mail to all the Alpha’s that have written to me with hopes they can snag themselves a Luna, and an Alpha Luna at that.
Dear Alpha,
I am writing in response to your letter. I am declining your kind offer of becoming the Luna to your pack. I already have a pack of my own that I am diligently caring for. I do not have time to consider joining another and adding a mate to the equation.
I have informed the Elder Council, who we at the Hunters Bow Pack are not affiliated with, [We are actively a rogue pack, and will remain so.] that I am awaiting my second chance mate that the Goddess herself will gift me. If she doesn’t think I am worthy of a second chance, then I will remain alone in this lifetime.
Hopefully, we can remain on friendly terms and although a rogue pack, we are open to gaining allies with other packs. If you have any interest in gaining an alliance, then please contact me further.
Best Regards,
Alpha Adira Strongbow
As I sign my name, I’m letting it be known to all that I am the heir to the Strongbow Pack lands. If this causes any kind of issue I will meet it head on, alone if it means safeguarding all my pack members here at the Hunters Bow Pack.
Placing the letter into the top drawer of my desk, I sigh because I will have to write the letter many times, or I can ask Mavis to do it as my secretary! Hm, that might be a good idea, or she’ll tell me where to put the letter in her roundabout polite manner.
A gentle tap on the door and Robbie pops his head into the office. Everyone is in the kitchen getting themselves a drink to bring through for the meeting. Handing me a cup, which I take eagerly, giving Robbie athank youas I take my first sip.
“Did you not bring a drink for yourself?” I ask.
“No, I had one a little while back. I’m fine for now. So, what’s this meeting about?” Robbie takes a seat on one side of my desk, crosses his legs as he relaxes back, in anticipation of what my response will be.
“You’ll just have to wait a few minutes and see.” I grin because the frustration on his face is comical.
It only takes a few minutes before Leo, Rom, Stella, Thorn, Mavis and Talon walk into the office. I give Leo a questioning look regarding Talon being in attendance, and he shrugs as he responds. “Talon is the head of the warriors. I upgraded his position to Head Warrior and trainer. Hence, he needs to be involved in these types of meetings.”
