“No. It’s not up for discussion. I am not going without you. Just do what you need to do to make sure you’re with me on that plane or it doesn’t move,” I say as he pulls past the gate.
Chapter Fourteen
Zypher
Thatstupidbitch.Ishould have known she was a fucking witch. Both of them took everything I threw at them without even wincing. I tried to cause Lilith pain so many times, but it never worked. She was resistant to all of it. You’d think after spending five years with me she would have cared about leaving me, but she didn’t. I took care of her, and the only thanks I get are betrayal and abandonment? She will pay for the mess that she’s made.
“They took her and ran,” I grumble as I get into the back seat with Brion Morwen. “Lilith and that other little shit are witches.”
“What?” Morwen barks.
“Yeah. I got her alone, but she shifted and ran to Kael. Leli put up some kind of shield to keep me out. I must have spooked her because she threw up whatever kind of spell that worked the moment I shifted. She wouldn’t do that unless she was protecting her for a reason.”
“So the witches can shift?” Brion asks.
“I guess so,” I say. “I should have known. She was with me for five years.”
“Don’t be hard on yourself. Witches are vile creatures. You’re lucky she didn’t kill you in your sleep or some shit.”
“Most of the time she was locked in her room at night,” I chuckle.
“You fucked with her while she slept, didn’t you?” he asks with a smirk.
“Fuck yeah, I did. That pig slop shit I fed her, I would put crushed-up sleeping pills in it every night,” I laugh. “I fucked her every way possible while she was knocked out. I don’t think she ever knew.”
“The dumb bitch didn’t know much about what was going on,” Brion laughs. “Her sorry excuse for mates think the day I had to send her up there was the first time I fucked her.”
“They would have died to find out you fucked her weekly,” I say. “Who knew witch pussy was so damn good?”
“You’re telling me,” Brion says. “Every time I’d strip the powers from one of them, I’d fuck them for hours before killing them. They take it so much better than those fox whores.”
“I have a few things planned for Lilith when I get her back,” I say. “As far as Daemon, Kael, and Callum… I’m going to find a way to break their bond and hope to God they feel it when I do.”
“You do that, I’m going to fucking kill them,” Brion says. “No one gets to humiliate me and survive. I’ll even be sure to fuck their mate while they watch.”
“We need to undo all of this bullshit they’ve done. They’re ruining this country,” I rant.
“We just need to be patient. Our time will come,” he says with a grin.
“It certainly will,” I chuckle.
Chapter Fifteen
Callum
KaelandIgetto the plane and start going through preflight checks to make sure we are ready to take off as soon as Daemon and the girls are here. I never thought we’d have a need for the airstrip, but I’m glad it’s here. We don’t have to worry about dragon, bear, or panther shifters causing issues while we are gone. They have been loyal and have faith in us. The others… there’s no telling what we will come home to. Right now, my only concern is to get Lilith to Mazvyn and Leli back home. As long as they are safe, nothing else matters. Maybe I should care more about the state of the country, but I’ll always put Lilith first.
Kael is fueling the plane while I start the pre-flight checklist in the cockpit. I take my time and go through everything. I want to hurry up and leave, but I’d also like to not crash into the ocean. It’s way too far for Daemon to fly us without having to stop to rest.
I know the direction that I’m flying; I’m just going to assume they’ll contact us somehow to tell us where to land. Mazvyn said he would know when we are close, but he’s also not looking for us to come for another week. I’m hoping Leli can reach out again so they can expect us to be coming.
When I get done in the cockpit, I go outside and do a walk-around to make sure everything is secure. Kael gets done fueling right as I get done with the pre-flight.
“Ready?” Kael asks.
“Yeah. Everything should be good to go. I’ll switch out with you if you need me to,” I tell him.
“It’ll keep my mind off things,” Kael says.
