Alexis set both of their coffees on the floor and wrapped her arms around her man. Then she paused. She glanced over at Caden and Lucas, giving them both a questioning look.

“How about you two join us? This way, we can see how Lucas really moves on a dance floor.”

“What? You mean, like, me and Lucas dance…together?”

Caden sounded shocked at the suggestion.

Wow, the boy really was straight as an arrow. He could almost hear Caden’s butt cheeks slam closed.Hate to tell you, precious, but in our situation, it would be me getting my butt assaulted.

Lucas rolled his eyes. He got it. Some guys weren’t comfortable dancing with other dudes, but still, the way Caden had reacted kind of hurt his feelings.

“Yeah. What? Are you too afraid to get close to a man and dance with him for a few minutes? Come on! I need to see how Lucas does it,” Alexis protested.

Lucas didn’t like people feeling pressured into doing something they weren’t comfortable with. He was bullied enough growing up; he didn’t need others to be bullied as well.

“Don’t worry about it, Alexis. I can dance the part alone,” Lucas offered.

“Well, no. It’s… fine.” Caden appeared conflicted, like he wasn’t sure what he should be doing. His body shifted from side to side, and his eyes kept darting from person to person. “I don’t mind. Really.”

Caden’s soft blue eyes flicked to Lucas, searching momentarily for confirmation or guidance as to how their little dance should go.

“Really, it’s not necessary. I can show them on my own,” Lucas offered one more time. In college, they rehearsed without partners all the time. While the dance may not look the prettiest, it served its purpose and got the job done.

Shaking his head, Caden grabbed both of their coffees and set them on the floor out of the way.

“It’s no big deal. Just two dudes dancing together in a garage,” Caden said, placing both of his hands on Lucas’s hips.

Clearly, Caden had never waltzed before either.

Lucas smiled.

“Fine.” He started the music again on the laptop and quickly explained the steps to Caden.

Placing Caden’s hands in the appropriate positions, Lucas took a deep breath and then began to move to the music.

It was hard to concentrate. Holding on to Caden’s hand with one and holding his muscular shoulder with the other. Not to mention staring into the sex god’s smoldering blue eyes.

Talk about intimate.

How was it possible for one man to be so freakin’ good-looking? His eyes were a captivating aqua-blue that resembled the beaches in Fiji—not that Lucas had ever been. And Cade’s sexy beard added a sense of roughness that made Lucas’s dick extremely hard.

Then there were the bulging muscles. It was clear that the man spent hours in the gym daily, perfecting every curve and indent in his gorgeous, manly body. Gay men and women everywhere thanked him.

Having Caden’s body only a few inches from his was torture. It was like holding a chilled glass of water in front of a man who had been wandering the desert for two weeks and not allowing him to drink. The pain was excruciating.

Ouch!

That… was real pain.

“Shit! Sorry!” Cade blurted, horrified after stepping on Lucas’s toes for the third consecutive time in a row.

Lucas couldn’t help but smile. He would gladly take any form of physical contact from Caden—even the kind that brought physical pain and discomfort to his body.

Pain and discomfort. Now his ass was taking notice.

“You’re doing great. Just focus on my eyes and let my body guide you.” He didn’t have the heart to tell Cade that he was a horrible dancer. It had taken all of Cade’s courage to dance with another man, so Lucas was going to do everything he could to boost the man’s ego.

“Don’t worry if you can’t get it, dude,” Jake said next to them. “Dudes weren’t meant to dance together, so that’s why you aren’t in step with each other.”
