Luca’s mocha scent is lush and sweet with joy.

He freezes in the process of kissing him again, then reaches down and presses his nose right into Gideon’s mouth.

Gideon has had a lot of Luca in his mouth. Alot. But never once has he enjoyed the experience of Luca practicallysniffinghis breath like a mom checking her kid for beer at a sleepover.

“You smell like Nix-come,” he accuses, eyes narrowed with suspicion.

Gideon watches as Luca’s face moves from overloaded Ripley Records excitement to missing out on a half-pack orgy outside in the yard. His eyes catch on a dozing Rowan before focusing on a sated Nix—all in under ten seconds.

“You guys fucked out here without us? Withoutme?” In the blink of an eye, he’s on his feet and climbing onto Nix’s lap. Their omega stops purring so he can grab Luca’s hips to help him while Finn groans.

“Baby. You came? How many times? Was it good? Tell me everything.”

Nix would tell him—if Luca let him get a word in.

“Mmhmm. Learned about kinks.” Voice deep and smooth, Gideon isn’t alone when he shivers, and Finn even moans.

“Kinks? You had ‘The Talk’without me? Gideon, how could you?”

He sounds mad, but it’s hard for Gideon to care when Luca has his tongue in Nix’s mouth.

“I wanted—”Kiss.“To show you.”Lick.

“Luca, the talk is supposed to be atalk, not ashow.”

Ironic,he knows.

“I canshow and telljust fine, thank you. What did you learn, baby?” Luca runs his hands through Finn’s hair and kisses him, too. “I like this configuration. Kisses from Baby and Finnie.”

“You have to let him talk, Luc. How can he tell you with your tongue in his mouth?” Rowan is petting the dog, and she’s rolled over on her back for belly rubs, tongue hanging out the side. She might even be cute. Maybe. One day—but not soon.

“Come on, Luc. Are Boo-Boo and Jay inside?” He helps Luca slide off Nix, so Finn can help Nix to his feet. “Feeling okay, kitten?”

His arms are full of sweet, vanilla-scented omega.

He holds him close, letting the sheer joy of loving him move through him in waves. Those tears are pricking behind his eyes again.Alright, alright, I get it. Thank you for him. For them all. Even the damn dog.

Tsuki barks and jumps on the bench, intent on licking the startled Finn’s face until he laughs and his hair is sticking straight up with dog slobber. Their dapper mate looks debauched, and Gideon can’t help but laugh.

In seconds, Finn scowls, but his eyes are dancing with glee.

He starts a low growl, and Nix and Luca squeal, taking off toward the house, Tsuki barking and nipping their heels. Finn starts after them at a slower pace, growling and roaring.

Gideon is just fast enough to stop Rowan from giving chase this time. “No, Rowan.” His mate thrashes a bit. “Not a real chase, this time. Just breathe.”

“Wanna go.”

“I know, but it’s Finn’s turn, yeah? We can wait here, and when you’re ready, you can help me bring this shit inside. Slowly. Let’s count together, now.” Rowan responds beautifully. “Start.”

They get to two hundred when Rowan finally relaxes.

“I’m good,” he grunts and pulls free.

But Gideon also felt the caress on his wrist before he pulled away.

“That you are,” Gideon praises, and together, they grab the dishes and the dog toys and make their way toward the house.
