“You’re welcome, Shivani.” Her voice is just as soft. “We’ll get through this. Together.”
I nod, tension slowly leaving my shoulders.
“The session is over for now,” she tells me, standing. “But I’m hoping to see you back again. Okay?”
I smile at her faintly and nod again. “Okay.”
As I walk out of the building, I spot Rudra leaning against his car, scrolling through something on his phone. My heart swells at the sight of him. He waited for me—just like he said he would. I’d told him I was scared, and he showed up, no questions asked. This man… he’s wonderful.
I am truly grateful to have him.
I smile to myself and walk toward him. The second his eyes lift from the screen and meet mine, he straightens up.
“How was it?” He asks, his voice laced with concern.
I take a deep breath, emotions swirling inside me, as I stare at him. “It was… hard,” I admit quietly. “But also strangely… liberating.”
He steps forward and kisses my forehead as warmth engulfs me. “I’m so proud of you.”
And just like that, I melt into him. All the tension I’d been holding onto seeps out as his arms wrap around me. A sigh of relief escapes me as I close my eyes and press my cheeks against his chest.
He chuckles softly. “Okay, let’s get you home. You must be tired.”
I snuggle my face more into his chest. “I love you, Rudra.”
He doesn’t say anything right away, just hugs me tighter.
“Did you know,” I mumble into his shirt, “before I met you, I never knew what it was like… to be able to look at someone and smile for no reason.”
He pulls back just enough to look at me, a small smile tugging at his lips. “Is that right?” He teases, raising an eyebrow.
I nod, grinning. “Yeah.”
He leans in and presses a kiss to my temple. “Thank you,” he murmurs, “for loving me.”

RUDRAKSH
“Now, now… Are you already afraid?” I stare at him down, my voice calm and cold. “I’ve just started.” A menacing laugh escapes me.
He spits on my shoes. “You could do better than that.”
Rage consumes me, and I punch him hard. His head jerks to the side, blood splattering out from his nose, and he winces.
After Shivani told me about this man, I had to find him. He had the fucking audacity to come near her—when I was just two minutes away. That thought alone makes my blood simmer. He’s a danger to her. And anyone who’s a danger to her… becomes my business.
So I asked Mr. Kapoor to send me the entire CCTV footage from that party. He wouldn’t dare say no.
When I saw the way this bastard was touching her—like she was his to claim—something inside me snapped. No one touches my wife. No one gets to violate her and walk away. No-freaking-one.
Turns out, he’s one of Ranveer’s men. If he’s still in contact with him, I’ll find out. And even if he isn’t… I’ll still enjoy tearing him apart. He deserves every second of it.
“I’m not telling you anything!” He yells through his groans as he glares at me.
"So loyal. For whom?" A smirk forms on my face at his words, “That motherfucker?” I glare at him. “The same man who hasn’t even bothered to look for you?”
He struggles against the chains binding his hands and legs. Pathetic.
