“ Ok that we will see but till then we can be friends , right?”
Eva gave a nod at him before they could discuss something more The waiter served the cake to both of them
The moment they spotted the piece of cake, a smile appeared on their faces
“ Now let’s play my favorite game."
“ What game?”
“Guess the ingredients of this cake and we will take turns to guess. Whoever guesses more will win."
“ Then be ready to lose Mrs. Smith, as I am too good in this."
“ That we will see Mr. Hudson."
Soon they took the first bite and started guessing the ingredients one by one, Harry proved to be a tough competitor for Eva but atlast Eva won
They shook hands while Harry congratulated her. Eva accepted his wishes with a smile , but the next moment she felt an arm snake around her waist
“Someone is having a wonderful time here."
Eva doesn’t have to guess it was Stephen who’s cold voice made her shiver; she noticed Stephen was giving a cold glare at Harry.
Harry just sighed He left the table and moved to the other side of the hall
Eva spun around and gazed at Stephen
“Where were you? I was waiting for you.
“Sorry, wife , Just some last-minute meeting. You did meet the anniversary couple ?
‘ Yes, I did."
“ Ok then, came with me. I want you to meet some other business associates and then we will leave."
Eva didn’t argue much and left with Stephen
After meeting some of Stephen's business associates, they decided to leave for home .
The journey home was a quiet one, as Stephen didn’t say a word and Eva didn’t want to have any conversation in front of the chauffeur .
After reaching home, when Eva stepped inside the room, she found some lights appearing from the balcony of her room. In uncertainty, she entered the balcony and gasped , as there was a beautiful arrangement for candlelight dinner.
Stephen smoked at her delighted face and hugged her from behind
“ What is this Stephen?”
“ Tomorrow is the weekend; I thought to make this night special. After all, it’s the weekend tomorrow so no office work for us. Do you like it?”
Eva spun around and pressed her lips on his. Stephen held her close while responding to this kiss, which has now turned into a passionate kiss.
After breaking the kiss, Eva hugged him and told him
“ I just loved this, and thank you for understanding me. I am really sorry if I hurt your feelings that day.
“Shh.. Why did you think like this? I was indeed upset for some time. To be honest, I like the way you told me about your distress. I know that I am not an expressive man, not romantic either, but I love you, Eva, and I never want to hurt you in any way.”
Eva smiled and hugged more into him.
