I thought about the week and how it started with me prone on the kitchen floor. Three days later, I am genuinely excited about my date tomorrow with the guy who had stepped over me. I had never dated officially. I understood the concept, but for some reason, it had never happened. I looked forward to getting dressed and showing him an incredible night out. I picked to go there to show off a little. I really hope it wasn’t my worst idea ever.
For dinner, I made a stir fry of chicken and vegetables, figuring if I chopped it up enough, Charlie and I would share. Dinner tomorrow would be indulgent, and I had that massive burger at lunch I needed to eat lean tonight.
While watching some sports highlights, they were reporting on the hockey couple that had just come out. While reporting, one of the commentators said, “I guess they are gay now.” The way he said it rubbed me the wrong way at once. As one of my clients, I would already have a lawyer involved. I emailed Cecelia, asking her to have one of them call me. I would deal with those bigoted comments whether they signed with Hot Shots or not. Society didn’t need to accept this type of insensitivity. A person's sexuality shouldn’t even be a topic.
While reading through my email, Jockey requested a male snowboarder to run down a hill in his underwear. I knew just the guy. The women’s line wanted a couple of women who did physical sports like MMA, boxing, or wrestling; the campaign would also have them in their underwear. A couple of my newer clients would be perfect for them, and getting a significant endorsement would be an excellent way for them to build their portfolio. I laughed to myself. They would probably send me more samples; I wonder if I could ask for a specific size so I could give them to Aaron.
It was around 9 p.m. when I closed my laptop. I went to the living room, locked the elevator, and turned off the lights. Charlie had been napping in his box that was in my office. I washed my face and brushed my teeth, keeping my phone in case Aaron called. As my phone remained silent, I wondered if he had fallen asleep. Disappointment gripped me, but I understood how it felt. I was often exhausted after work.
I crawled under the covers naked. There were feather pillows and a goose-down duvet. I cuddled into my bed, smiling at myself. My bedroom was my sanctuary, my private place.
“Charlie, come to bed.” I hoped he heard me and I wouldn’t have to get him. He glided into the bedroom and landed gracefully on the pillow beside me. “You really should go to your bed,” I swear he cocked his head at me. “Fine, you can sleep there, but don’t think you will always get to.” I pulled out the rainbow pouch and let him crawl in it. I settled him between pillows so he wouldn’t fall off the bed.
I sat up, grabbing my iPad. I wanted to read until I was tired. My phone rang, and I nearly jumped out of my skin. Answering the call on my tablet, I smiled as I saw Aaron’s face. He also looked to be in bed, his back propped up with pillows, the headboard a dark wood. “Hi, you!” I grinned foolishly.
“Hi you.” He was grinning back at me. I could see it up through his eyes. My heart did a giant flip-flop. “Is that a fuzzy little pouch next to you?” I was sure he giggled.
“Maybe.” I looked as innocent as possible.
“Well, that’s a man in your bed that doesn’t make me jealous.” He wiggled his eyebrows at me. “I’m sorry I called so late. I wanted to wrap everything up so I could only work half a day tomorrow.”
“You are working only half a day?” I looked at him curiously. The bag next to me started to move. Charlie spun around, chirping, and then his tail flopped out.
“He is on his back. It appears he is a happy dragon. Yes, I am only working half a day tomorrow. I have a date with a hottie.”
“A hottie?” I smiled to myself. “What makes him so hot?”
“Well, let me tell you. This guy is smart, confident, funny, and awkward. He makes me feel things that I have never felt before. You’ll notice I haven’t even started on how spectacular his body is.” He made alow growl. “His body. It’s a masterpiece. I want to touch every inch of his skin with my hands, mouth, and tongue.”
I remembered when he touched me, recalling how firm his hands felt as they slid across my stomach. My dick started to fill with memories.
Unaware of my wandering thoughts, he continued. “The nape of his neck begs me to bite him, and his lips are warm and soft. The way he kisses. I can feel promise and desire.” I was fully hard now. Thoughts of his mouth on mine were the only thing I could think about.
He looked at me through the screen with unadulterated desire. “Look what you've done to me.” I moved the camera so he could see the tented sheets. With my free hand, I reached down and stroked my length, then groaned. I wished it was Aaron's hand wrapped around my shaft. I didn’t move the camera as I stroked myself again. So much of me wanted to jerk off with him watching. I could hear him whimper each time I moved my hand.
“River, what I want to do to you right now.” His voice was thick with longing.
“Ugh.” I pulled my hand from under the sheet. “Tomorrow is our third date.”
“What if the put-out on the third date rule doesn’t apply to us?” He laughed like that was the craziest thing he had ever said.
“You, sir, are a tease. I am happy we didn’t just hook up, but I’ve had blue balls so many times this week.” We both need relief, even though I was glad we didn't just jump into bed the first day. Getting to know each other has been fantastic, but it's time to fit a few orgasms in there, too.” I grinned ridiculously.
“I believe we can arrange that. What time do you want me there tomorrow?” I felt like the topic change was to avoid taking thingsfurther tonight. Neither of us would’ve needed encouragement. We had come this far, so we might as well go the distance.
Savoring this tension is going to enhance our first time. Our dry-humping moment didn’t count as having sex. We were like two teenage boys who weren’t brave enough to remove their clothes, though the man could kiss. My toes curled just thinking about it.
“What time are you getting off work?” I asked him.
“I plan to leave around noon. I told everyone I was working half the day.”
“Can you be here at 12:05?” I asked hopefully. “I’ll finish up at the same time. We can have lunch and watch a movie. You can get ready here.”
He was quiet for a long time like he wasn’t sure that was a good idea. I knew I had overstepped by being too eager. Having no idea how this dating thing worked, my nervousness caused me to make a wrong decision. “Hmmm. I don’t know River.” My heart sank, trying not to show the disappointment on my face. “I can’t jaywalk in the middle of the day, so it will probably be around 12:07.”
I squealed as manly as possible. “I guess that will work.” We both burst out laughing.
“You delight me, River Barallo. The club assigning me to you was the best thing that has ever happened to me. I’m going to give them a generous donation.” I couldn’t agree with him more.
