“Don’t be late.”Logan smiled while down the hall, Daniel snorted out a chuckle.

“Layla, where do youwant all this stuff?”Keira called from the living room.
“What stuff are you talking about?”Layla yelled from the back bedroom.
“The boxes you have packed to take to Logan’s.”
“Just set them by the door.After the rehearsal dinner, Logan and I are coming back here, and he’s going to take them to his house tonight.”
Keira turned toward Layla when she walked into the living room.“You don’t have to stay with me tonight.”
Layla plopped down on the sofa and pulled a rainbow-colored pillow onto her lap.“For one thing, it’s bad luck for the bride and groom to see each other before the wedding, and I haven’t seen you in three months.”Layla reached out and grasped Keira’s hand, pulling her down beside her.“I miss you, Kiki.”
Keira sat next to her as happy tears misted her eyes.“I miss you too, Lay.”
“When are your things going to be shipped here?”
“The truck will be here this coming Monday.”
“Good, Logan and I will still be here so we can help you unload everything.”
“We don’t have to worry about that.I just have to be here to let them in.The moving company I hired will unload everything, and I’ve marked which room everything goes into.”Keira turned her head toward her sister.“Why are you guys waiting a week before you go on your honeymoon?”
“It’s more like ten days, and it’s because Logan has a big job that needs to be finished before we go away for three weeks.”
“Wow, three weeks in Europe.You’ve always wanted to travel there.I hope you’ll take a lot of pictures for me.”
Layla leaned her head back onto the sofa cushion, a smile on her face.“Logan surprised me with the honeymoon trip.We’ll travel all over Europe.We’ll see all the places I’ve always wanted to see.”
Keira squeezed Layla’s hand.“I’m so happy for you.”
“I’m excited to be married to Logan, but I’m thrilled you decided to move here.”
“How could I say no?You have already set me up for a job at the shop, and you’re letting me sublet this house from you.The hardest part will be packing and unpacking.”
Layla stood and pulled her sister up and chuckled at the groan that came from her.“Speaking of packing ...let’s go.You can help me pack the rest of my stuff before we get ready for the rehearsal.”
“I’m excited to meet Logan’s family.”
“I can’t wait for you to meet them.You’ll love them.They are the nicest people.Wait until you meet his business partner.”
Keira was bent over a box adding books to it, then turned to look at her sister.“You’ve hardly talked about him.”
Layla handed Keira more books.“Daniel is a great guy, but he’s more closed off than Logan.They’re both intense, strong men, but Daniel is harder to read.They were both cops but retired early to start their own security business.I don’t want you to worry while we’re gone.Daniel will be here if you need someone.”
“The only thing I’m worried about is my sister being happy.”
Layla smiled.“And I am.I’m happier than I ever thought possible.”
