The top buttons of my shirt felt constricting as my blood ran hot with arousal. I unbuttoned them as I pushed my bedroom door in, excitement coursing through my veins.

I was surprised when I found our bed still made and Amelia not in it. I checked the bathroom and then the closet to see if maybe she was changing her clothes in there.Nothing.

I wondered if maybe she had gone for a late-night snack and I had missed her in the kitchen when I came upstairs. I went back down to the first floor and turned on the kitchen light. The kitchen was spotless and packed up for the night. “Jaan?”No answer.

It was odd that she’d be wandering the house this late.

I heard a soft rustling noise down the hall. I followed it to the music room. It was one of the rooms my mother had loved the most in this house. She had been an avid musician and played all different types of instruments, from the piano to the sitar. She had collected many one-of-a-kind instruments and set up the room to be her own personal music studio to experiment with sounds and teach Jai and me to play various instruments.

The door was ajar, which was alarming since no one used this room anymore. I played piano but rarely ever found time to practice these days. The maids were the only ones who went in there to dust.

My pulse quickened on alert. I knew something was off. I didn’t have my gun on me, and I was cursing myself for it. There was a panic button in the room, so I could always press that if needed and the guards would be there in seconds.

I pushed the door open slowly. White candles of varying sizes illuminated the room. The moonlight from the large window in the far end of the room also provided soft lighting. I looked around, and that’s when I saw her, looking like a goddess—myjaan. All the air left my lungs when I saw her.

Glittering jewels adorned her ears and the middle part of her hair. Gold bangles decorated her wrists. Her sea of red hair flowed in soft waves around her shoulders. She wore the fabric that draped over her body with the air of a queen. My queen.

The silk blouse clung to curves of her chest, only stopping right under her breasts. Sheer material, like fine-knit lace, fell across her abdomen in a thin strip in a way I had only seen in erotic paintings. The skin on her belly was exposed and begging for my caress. The bottom part of hersareewas wrapped into loose harem-style pants that hung low on her hips. Any lower and I would see the faint proof auburn path of hair that would lead me to heaven. Her feet were bare, with shiny anklets hugging her ankles.Holy fuck.I could cum right now just looking at her.

Heavily lined green eyes stared back at me with desire that burned my blood. She must have noticed my jaw on the floor because her full lips were pressed into the most seductive smirk. I was hers and she knew it.

She stepped closer to me, her hips swaying from side to side, her movements accentuated by the flow of fabric. I was frozen to my spot, unable to move or even speak, as she took the lead.

Her hands ran down the front of my shirt, feeling my chest through the crisp cotton. Scents of jasmine and vanilla enveloped me as she moved in closer.

I swallowed the lump in my throat before speaking. “You look so goddamn beautiful.”That was an understatement.I wasn’t a man of many words, but I truly couldn’t find the right words in this moment.

She smiled slyly as she undid the rest of my shirt buttons, painfully slow. “I can’t take all the credit. I had help from your kitchen maid, Nadia,” she said, focusing intently on each button as she disarmed it.

“Remind me to give Nadia a raise later,” I whispered.

I pulled her chin up with my finger until her gaze met my eyes. Beyond the lust and the passion, I could see the woman that I was meant to spend the rest of my life with.

“Stay with me forever,jaan.”

Her breath caught as she absorbed my request. A nod was the only sign of her promise.

“I want to spend the rest of my life with you.” I wanted her by my side, raising a family together.

Like her jewels, her eyes glittered as tears formed in them from such hope and adoration.

I held her face in my hands. “This isn’t a proposal. I will do this properly, but do know that I want it.”

She couldn’t hold back the tears leaking from the corners of her eyes. “That’s all I ever needed. Just to know.”

I couldn’t wait to feel her lips anymore. Our mouths moved together—carefully coordinated movements connecting our souls. Her tongue danced with mine, following my lead. The fire we created consumed us, making us need for more. Our breaths grew ragged as desperation took hold.

I pulled my shirt off and threw it aside as she worked the fly of my pants. As much as I wanted to continue to feast on the sight of her in asaree, I needed to feel her naked against me. I tugged on the bunch of lace across her belly, causing it to fall loose from her shoulders. Usually, women pinned the shit out of these outfits to keep them in place, but she had known I’d be ripping it off and had forgone the task. Yards of white unraveled around her body and fell into a puddle on the floor.

Panties, like the pins, had also been left out, too.Fuck, she knows me well. She stood only in her blouse and the jewels that adorned her body. My eyes roamed down to the flesh between her legs that I was so desperate to feel but caught something in their view on the way. A glimmer of light on her belly button. I leaned in closer for a better look.

“Do you like it?” she asked nervously.

“Is it real?” I asked as I massaged the stone with my fingertip.

She chuckled. “No. It’s a clip-on. Nadia said it ‘drives the men wild.’”

I growled in approval. “Remind me to buy Nadia a fucking car when we’re done.” I quickly stood up and lifted her with me. She squealed, wrapping her legs around my waist. I grabbed her lips between mine and continued my assault on her mouth. Her arms wrapped around my neck and her hands clutched my hair as I carried her across the room. I sat her on a massive drum by the window. The moonlight irradiated her bright eyes in the dark room. She was the only light I needed to see clearly.
