“True, but black is easier to decipher, to stand out from the rest,” I say, adjusting my gun.

“Back halls,” Jax says.

“Someone going through a back door. Symbols,” Mal quips.

“Yes.” Anita snaps her fingers, pointing at Mal. “Look for someone wearing the pendant,” Anita counters, nodding slowly. “We know this is a cult meeting, so whoever is involved with this person will most certainly have the pendant on them.”

I nod in pride. “There we go. Are we ready then?” I scope out everyone, making sure nothing is off or out of place. They’re doing this for a cause and not only for my revenge but to get rid of a monster who must be stopped. They need to be stopped.

Mal grins, her expression turning to a chilling smile that she does when she’s ready to go off.

Anita hoods her gaze at Mal. “Go ahead, say it.”

“I was born ready.” Mal sticks out her tongue like a rock star raising her gun.

I shake my head, despite the smile forming my lips. I start the walk to the back entrance of the garage. “And let’s not get killed, alright.” I look over my shoulder, directing that to Jax.

We continue through the door, diligent enough to ensure no civilians spot us—four people in all black with machine guns. And I’m suretheyalready spotted us in the cameras; I don’t give a fuck. Everyone in there is dying, end of story.

Once we go through the downstairs level, across the walkway, pass the parked cars, there’s an entry area. One is an elevator and then a door that seems to lead to another area of the building. We don’t move from the spot until the coast is clear.

Then luck being on our side, a man, and woman in all black walks to the door. A silver mask shields their faces, while both wearing tuxedos with a gun strapped to their waist. And from my view, something shiny glistens on their pocket square.

“Looks like we’re in,” Anita coaxes beside me, glancing catching it, too. I take a look down at her, and she gives a devious smirk back to me.

“You want to do the honors?” I grin devilishly. I could do it with a bullet to the head, but it’ll be much sexier watching her get savage, all grim and shit. It’s a sight to admire, a privilege. And when the night is over, I’ll wash every drop of blood from her succulent body, shedding away the night's dirt and filth.

She hands me her weapon. “It’ll be my pleasure.”

“Oh, I’m definitely getting in on it,” Mal whispers mischievously, looking over Anita’s shoulder.

Anita pulls out her blade, not wasting any time; Mal follows along silently, their steps so quiet you would think they were mice.

“I know it’s not my place.” Jax’s voice filters into my thoughts. It almost pissed me off.

“What?” My head tilts slowly toward Jax to hear him, hoping to not miss anything.

“You don’t get worried they may get hurt?”

“They can handle themselves.” Responding confidently, my gaze flicks back at the snake dripping in her venom. She could do that before I came back in the picture.

I watch in awe as my little serpent slithers her way behind the man before curving her arm over his neck and slicing it. Mal shoots the lady before she gets the advantage on her. Mal snatches something from the man’s pants and puts it at the door that requires a coded entrance. I look at Jax with a raised brow and smirk.

“Humph.” Jax holds his gun to his chest with an unquestionable look.

We head to the girls as Anita holds the door open. As soon as we all walk through, there is a long black hall with two cut-off halls going into either direction. Like a crossroads.

And the sickest shit on the walls that makes me want to scorch every picture to the ground.

What the fuck?
