I buckled up and looked over at her. “Where the fuck are we going?”

Lily just shook her head. “The clubhouse. Your shit is there and we’re gonna find the kids. So buck up and do what needs to be done to save your kids.”

We drove in silence to the clubhouse. I looked over at Lily and saw the tears running down her face, yet she was crying silently so I didn’t hear. I reached over and took her hand in mine, bringing it to my lips to kiss.

As we pulled into the clubhouse, Lily parked the truck right up front, but didn’t make a move to get out.

She just looked blankly out the window and softly spoke. “I love them so fucking much, Moose. I’m so scared.”

I reached over and pulled her right into my lap, rubbing her back as she sobbed into my chest.

“I know, princess. I’m scared too. But we have each other to lean on and everybody in the club. We’re gonna fucking find them and whoever took them is gonna pay.”

Lily wiped her tears and looked up at me. There was a fire in her eyes I had never seen before, and it kind of scared me. She looked like a cold-blooded killer.

“They have no clue who the fuck they just messed with.”

Chapter Nineteen

Lily

Iwassittingatthe bar with Moose when Mav walked into the clubhouse.

“Church. Now.”

All the men got up and walked into the closed room. I grabbed the bottle of tequila and took a huge swig. I needed something to numb the hurt I was feeling.

I loved those kids like they were my own and whoever touched them would die. I didn’t care at whose hands; even mine.

My phone vibrated, and I pulled it out of my purse, looking down to see a blocked number. I sighed but answered it anyway, not knowing if it could be a woman needing help.

“Attorney Banks.”

There was static at first before a robotic voice spoke.

“I have the children. Come to 80 Alberta Drive if you want to save them.”

The call ended, and I looked around the room to see if anybody else had heard it. Nobody else was in the room, so I grabbed the keys and ran outside.

Savannah was just coming in and stopped me. “What’s wrong?”

“Uh... emergency client. I’ll be back soon.”

She frowned. “Are you okay? Is it one of the girls at Hope Hearted?”

“Nope. Separate case. Let Moose know I took the truck!”

I ran past her and climbed into the truck, taking off before she could ask more questions. I pulled over just down the road and threw the address into the GPS.

It was taking me outside of town limits, but I had no other choice; I needed to save Maddox and Nova.

I raced down the road, finally getting to the old warehouse just a mere fifteen minutes after I left the clubhouse.

As I hopped out of the truck, I reached back and realized I didn’t even grab my gun this morning.

“Fuck!”

I turned back and frantically searched the truck. I finally stumbled upon a handgun hidden in a false compartment under the driver's seat.
