“Yeah, Lily told me about her. I’m running facial recognition but haven’t come up with anything.”
Maddox cleared his throat. “Are you guys gonna save her?”
I smiled. “Of course, buddy. We help everybody.”
Both women came back. Lily leaned down and kissed me as Sav did the same to Hawk.
“That new girl is back. I’m riding with Sav to Hope Hearted to see if I can talk to her.”
“Alright, princess. Be safe and I’ll see you later. I’ll get a prospect over there.”
She smiled and moved to Maddox and Nova, kissing them on the head like they were her own children.
“Sorry I couldn't stay longer. But breakfast was amazing and we’ll do something special when I get back, okay?”
They both smiled at her as she walked away. I grabbed her hand and tugged her back to me.
“I love you, Lily.”
She leaned down and kissed me again. “I love you, Moose.”
She and Sav headed out the door, and Hawk took out his phone.
“Yo, Pres. Ladies are heading to Hope Hearted to see that new girl. Is the Prospect free to watch them?”
Hawk listened as the kids and I cleaned up.
“Got it. I’ll shoot Sav a text and let her know. Thanks, man.”
He hung up and grabbed a few plates to bring over.
“Pres is sending Wrench over. Beckett is cleaning.”
I nodded and helped finish cleaning up as the kids moved to the living room to watch some cartoons.
Hawk leaned on the counter. “So you and Lily?”
I grinned and ran my hand through my hair. “Yeah, man. She’s fucking amazing.”
“I’m happy for you, Moose. And it looks like the kids love her too.”
“That’s the best fucking part, man. She fits right in. There’s no awkward meeting of the kids, or fights, or any of that bullshit. It’s just like…”
Hawk smiled. “Like she was made for you guys.”
“Exactly, brother.”
Nova and Maddox came walking into the kitchen to grab some snacks. Nova came over and hugged me.
“We love Lily too. She’s so nice and pretty, daddy.”
“Yes she is, baby.”
Maddox shuffled his feet and looked up at me.
“Can we ask you something?”
I nodded. “Of course, buddy. You know you can always come to me.”
