“Shut the Medical Center down. More guys are on their way. Ellie Jo is armed and dangerous! We have to find her.”

Doc runs to the nurses’ station as I turn to Zane. “It was Ellie Jo. She took Bambi and tried to distract us with the Shadow Raiders.”

“Fucking find her, Goose. I got Olivia, so don’t worry. Ain’t falling asleep this time. God, I was-”

I shake my head, stopping Zane in his tracks. “No. You’re hurt and needed to rest. Bambi would have left with or without you. Stay safe here and keep an eye on Olivia.”

I run back out as nurses fly around me and my brothers, starting to search every nook and cranny in this building.

Running down the stairs, I meet Striker at the entrance.

“I’ve got guys all over the grounds looking for her. Any luck inside?”

“No. Fucking nothing. Olivia is with Zane, but I want more guys with them. Fuck! How could we not see this...”

Striker slaps his hand on my shoulder. “Who the fuck would have thought sweet little Ellie Jo would be capable of this? It still doesn’t make sense though.”

“I fucking know. The women and kids are all at the Clubhouse, right?”

“Fuck yeah. It’s locked down tight and they’re all upstairs. Your mama is there guarding the door, ain’t nobody getting in.”

We both chuckle at the picture of mama with her shotgun as Mav comes walking down the stairs. “Nothing on the second floor. We have men watching still and another team sweeping the first floor now.”

“Good. Good. I’m gonna find Doc and see what I can find out and if he saw anything.”

They both nod as I walk away. Heading toward the back, I take out my phone and try calling Bambi’s phone.

Maybe... just maybe it could help...

Her phone goes straight to voicemail and I slam my fist on the wall. I fucking lost her again, and it’s all my fault.

I should have seen this. I should have seen past the bullshit once again.

As I round the corner to the ambulance bay doors, I can see Doc laying on the ground. I rush over and drop to my knees.

“Doc! Doc, wake up! Fuck!”

I frantically look around for somebody and turn back to the doctor.

“Come on, man! Hey! Somebody, help! Help!”

An EMT comes out of the ambulance sitting outside and walks up beside me. “Let me help, sir.”

The voice sounds familiar and when I turn to look; I feel a sharp sting in my neck. Everything goes blurry and I collapse to the ground.

The EMT stands over me and smiles. She takes off her hair and I realize it’s a wig. Ellie Jo is standing above me with a sickly smile.

“Time to go home, baby.”

She grabs my legs and drags me outside onto a gurney that’s on the ground. I try to crawl away, but my legs won’t work.

Ellie Jo pops the gurney up and wheels me right into the ambulance. She slams the metal doors and gets in the front seat. Putting her wig back on, Ellie Jo turns the vehicle on and drives off.

I’m strapped down with nowhere to go. As I try to sit up and look out the window or scream for help, I feel sick to my stomach and turn to puke.

Laying my head back down, things get worse. Everything is spinning around me, and every word Ellie Jo tries to say is just a blur to me. My ears ring and then there’s just black...
