“I can use my computer and turn their shit into nothing more than remote control cars, in which I hold the remote.”
“That’s scary,” Daniel said, frowning at me, “can anyone do this?”
“No,” Livie shook her head, “this is not a common thing yet. But I predict that it will become more common as cars become more hooked into the internet. This type of thing cannot be done with old vehicles. Which is why we need to figure out what we’re dealing with first,” she turned to me, “do you know what they drive?”
I shook my head, “we know that they mainly use their bikes, but we have seen them in cars from time to time.”
“We need to figure out exactly what they are. For the bikes, we can place these GPS trackers on them, and track their movements. I’d also like to get access to their Bluetooth, that way we can tap into it whenever they use their cars, and listen in on conversations that may help us.”
I nodded once, “we’ll go tonight.”
Her eyebrows shot up, “we?” she pointed at herself.
I nodded again.
“I’ll have to speak to Rome first,” she crossed her arms. “I was supposed to work tonight.”
“That’s fine. Meet me back here later.”
She nodded, and packed up her things.
I followed her out of the shop and she unlocked her car.
I let out a low whistle as I walked around it, “definitely not a Range Rover.”
“Told you,” she smirked, throwing her bags onto the floor of the back seat.
Livie’s car was a pristine Subaru WRX STI model. It was a pearl white, and I peeked inside to see a pastel purple interior that matched the colour of her hair.
“I guess only one of us is a good judge of character,” she smirked, leaning against the front door.
“I’ll give you that,” I chuckled, still admiring the car, “we should take this out tonight.”
She snorted, “you’re not driving my baby.”
“Why?”
“Because no one drives her but me,” she warned, crossing her arms.
I put my hands up in surrender, “fine. We’ll take mine.”
“The old Commodore?” she scrunched her nose.
“You really think I only have one car?”
She smiled and shook her head.
Livie was unarguably beautiful.
Her wavy purple hair was piled at the nape of her neck, with a few stray curls that surrounded her plump cheeks. Though she was tiny, her legs went on for days, only accentuated by the tiny denim shorts that she wore.
I shook my head and ripped my eyes away from her legs and back to the car.
“I’ll see you here at nine,” I said, clearing my throat, before spinning on my heel and walking back inside the shop.
I didn’t dare turn back to take another look.
I could tell already that she would be a dangerous distraction for me, and now was not the time to get distracted. After all these years of being patient, of waiting, what I had always wanted had never been so within my reach.
