“Ohh,” I moaned.
“Fuck me,” he hissed. That was it. He had held off as long as he could. His arms caved around me as his orgasm erupted inside me. He held me while his torso vibrated and he sputtered his release in hot heavy groans.
“I fucking love you,” he growled. His lips found my neck and my ear. I wanted to feel all of it with him. I wanted my body to hold all his pleasure, but the instant he said those words the last wall came down and I came with him. Gently at first like a sigh, but the flames he had ignited weren’t the kind I could extinguish with thoughts or intention. There was a blaze in my core that flickered.
I screamed his name as he took me again with power and certainty. I shook and cried while he held me. He kissed my shoulder, while my body calmed and quieted.
I took a giant breath, followed by another.
“You okay?” he asked.
I nodded. “I don’t know what to say.”
He pulled out enough that I could roll on my back and look directly in his eyes.
“Maybe we don’t need words for what we just did.”
I ran my hands along the side of his face—without the bandage. “Maybe. But you’re asking a lot of a writer.”
He laughed, nuzzling against my neck. “We could do it again, until we come up with a name.”
I bit my lip. “Unless you think you need sleep?”
He shook his head. “No sleep.” He pulled the quilt up over our heads.

The sun found its way through a crack in the blackout drapes. Shit. What time was it? My entire body was sore, and I felt the slice of pain run across my cheek. For a split second, I had forgotten about yesterday.
Margot was securely nuzzled against my body. I ran my fingers up and down her back along the silkiness of her skin. It was hard to keep my hands off her, but I didn’t wake her either. She needed the sleep as much as I did.
I didn’t know what time it was when we finally fell asleep. It didn’t matter. Nothing did except for how we connected last night.
She began to stir against my shoulder.
“What time is it?” she asked.
“Did I wake you up?” I should have let her sleep.
She smiled, pushing up on my chest. “No. I was dreaming, I think.”
I felt slightly better. “It’s strange no one from the base has called or knocked.”
“Maybe it’s not as late as we think it is,” she mused. She kissed my cheek.
“I don’t know. Do you want me to check?” I volunteered.
“Not if it means you have to move.” She cuddled up closer, if that was even possible. “I want to stay like this for a little bit longer.” She sighed.
“I won’t move. Not a single muscle.”
She laughed. Her hand coasted over my chest and below the sheet. I groaned when her palm grazed against my cock. “Are you sure about that?”
“You have always been able to change my mind.”
“I like changing it like this.” She grinned. Then she rotated and her eyes widened. “Oh no. Your face. It’s bleeding again.”
