"We?"

"Me and Dare," she said, nodding to the guy standing with an arm around her waist.

Wavy dark brown hair, blue eyes, and a charming smile, I'd met Viola's boyfriend at the annual Kent family reunion. But it didn't matter. Dare Frost was one of thosepeoplewho just made you want to stare. He was pretty, and he knew it.His attractiveness wasn't quiet or undercover. The cool thing about him, though, was that he wasn't a jerk, which made me like him for my cousin.

"Hey," he said with an easy smile, "it's my two favorite Kent sisters. How's it going?"

"Going good," Scarlett said, "considering I just had to sit through a sporting event."

Viola laughed. "I so hear that."

"Hey now"—Dare pulled her in closer—"I thought you liked watching me play?"

"I do," she said, staring up at him with a soft smile, "you know, I do. But you weren'tout there today, so it wasn't as fun for me."

He placeda kiss on her nose. "I love hearing that, flower."

"You would."

I sighed, couldn't help it. "You two are so cute together."

Viola blushed, and Dare looked like he was enjoying every second.

Scarlett leaned over to me and said, "They are, but I swear, on the adorable scale, you and Bo give them a run for their money."

Viola's eyes lit up. "What's this about you and Bo?"

"So you actually do that?" I asked, pretending as if I hadn't heard her and speaking to Dare. "Come and watch other teams play. Is that normal?"

"Yeah," Dare said, "it's pretty common, especially when you're going to be coming up against someone like Stryker."

I tilted my head with a smile. "He's amazing.Isn't he?"

"They call him Iceman for a reason. He's brutal on the field."

"Glad to hear you think so," Bo said, appearing behind me. When he lazily draped his arm around my waist, I felt my breath catch, tried not to let it show. "You here to spy on us, Frost?"

Dare laughed. "Like you don't do the same whenyou gotta go against Durham?"

Bo was silent a beat then, "We do sometimes. But I usually just watch game film, like all civilized people."

"You calling meun-civilized, Stryker?"

"Maybe."

"I'll remember that come game time."

"Wouldn't want you to forget."

"It's going to be an all-out battle."

"I know," Bo said. "I'm not the only one who's brutal,KillerFrost."

After a pause, the two guys walked forward, clasped hands, and patted each other on the back like guys do. What the heck? For a second, I'd honestly thought they might fight.

"You two know each other," I said, coming to the realization belatedly.

"Yeah," Bo said, looking down at me, "mainly through my dad and Coach Kent."
