My boy was missing, and none of the useless fucks in front of me could tell me where the fuck he was.

My fists clenched, and I wanted to destroy the entire bar.

Fuck that.

I wanted to burn down the entire world to find him, starting with this city.

No one would be saved.

It would be fucking Armageddon until I had Braxton safely back by my side, I vowed it.

My eyes moved over each of the men, stopping on fucking Trent, the man I had tasked with escorting Braxton.

He startled when I stood and walked over to him, grabbing the collar of his shirt and dragging him close until our noses touched.

“If anything happens to my son, I’ll make you fucking pay with your life.”

“Prez, I’m—”

He didn’t get the chance to say anymore.

I pushed him away until the fucker landed on his ass on the floor. I nodded to the men nearby to take him out of my sight, and I turned back to the table where Kai sat with his laptop in front of him. “Dad?”

“Found him?” I asked.

“His cell phone is about a block away from Alvin’s house. I’ve already sent men out to search, but I think maybe he dropped his phone there.”

The last part of his sentence was said quietly, and I was sure he was thinking the same thing I was. Did Braxton drop his cell phone because he was careless or because someone grabbed him and he dropped it in his struggle?

“His tracker?”

“I’m still trying to pin the location. I think he might be somewhere with a low signal because I can’t get a good read on it.”

“What about the last known location of the tracker?”

All of Braxton’s shoes had a tracker hidden inside them.

Every single fucking pair.

With what I did, I needed to make sure he was well-protected, and that I was aware of his location at all times. Fuck lot of good that was doing now. I didn’t know where he was and how that place could interfere with the signal.

Something pinged in Kai’s computer, and he stood. “Got it! South of here, miles off Highway 99.”

I grabbed my keys from the table. “Let’s go. You take the lead, and we’ll follow close behind.”

About twenty minutesinto the trip, I found something off the side of the road that shouldn’t be there.

I signaled for the men behind me to pull over and honk at Kai before I turned my bike to the side and hopped off.

Kai came up to me moments later, and we looked down at the small red car parked off to the side, the tip of the front crashing down near the small dip—almost as if someone wanted to hide the car from view.

One side of the car was riddled with bullet holes.

All four doors were open, and it looked like someone had ransacked the car, looking for something.

I shared a look with Kai.
