I quickly shook away the thoughts.

He spent most nights with me. I was his only bed partner… right?

I yanked my hand away from his, because no matter how much I tried to reason through it, I didn’t actually know the answer to that.

He turned to me, his brow furrowed. “Baby?” he said, loud enough for me to hear through the music.

I opened my mouth, but I didn’t know how to explain what I was feeling, not when it felt like the crowd and the music and thestenchwere closing in on me.

Before I could really gather my own thoughts, a rough-looking female biker—probably the female equivalent of Dominic—came up to us, pushing one claw-like hand onto his chest and leaning close to his ear.

“Darling,” she cooed. I narrowed my eyes at them, and Dominic never looked away from me to acknowledge her. It didn’t make me feel better. “I missed you.”

Before Dominic could respond or react, I turned around and walked to the front door.

My heart thudded loudly in my ears as I moved through the crowd.

For the first time since Dominictookme, I felt trapped.

There was no choice.

He made me fall for him in the worst way possible, while he had the freedom to do whatever the hell he wanted, and I still didn’t know where we stood.

I was almost to the door when arms wrapped around my waist and hauled me up. Based purely on my body’s reactions, I knew it was Dominic. Even when I was angry and confused, I still couldn’t disguise how much he affected me.

“No, let me go!” I said, struggling in his arms. Several people looked our way, but no one came to help me. They all took one look at Dominic and turned away, pretending they didn’t see this beast holding onto me, or the fact that he was walking us back further into the bar.

We briefly passed the woman who had touched him, and I made eye contact with her.

She shot me a disgusted look, which only made me struggle even more.

Dominic opened the door to the back and walked in, shutting the door behind us with a slam. I could still hear the music from outside, but it was faint. In this small, dark room, it was like we had entered a different world.

I looked around, trying to get my breathing under control.

“Are you calm?” Dominic asked gruffly.

“No,” I sneered. “Now let me go.”

He let out a small sigh, as if I was an inconvenience he had to deal with, and that just pissed me off more.

If I was such an inconvenience, he should just let me go.

He sat on a couch pushed up against the wall near the door, settling me on his lap. I tried to keep as much space between our bodies as possible.

“What are you doing?” I asked.

“Talking to you.”

I didn’t turn around to look at him. There was a small lamp in the corner that provided some light in the room, but it wasn’t as bright as it was out in the bar. Dominic tightened his arms around me and pulled me closer until my back was pressed up against his warm chest, and his hard cock was nestled snugly between my ass.

I tensed when I felt it. Jesus, was he evernothard?

“What’s there to talk about?” I asked, trying to ignore it. I wiggled on his lap, trying to get off.

He leaned forward, his lips grazing my ear. “Hold still, or we’ll end up fucking before we talk.”

I gasped and turned around to find his dark blue eyes focused intently on me. “When is it evernotfucking with you?”
