My feet feel lighter because I know Sophia’s in good spirits today. I’ve been so worried about her. The vacancy in her eyes after the fight with Seth had me terrified I’d never see the light in them again, but she woke up the next morningalmostacting like nothing happened. She’s a bit off every now and then, but mostly she’s been okay, and I’m savoring it. I’m surprised she made a joke about sleeping together though because that’s one area she’s been distant.

“Aw, come on.” He pouts, placing a hand over his chest. “At least now I’ll know why Sophia won’t be wearing the jersey I gave her.”
“I know you’re fucking with me but for some reason I’m still angry.”
Theo laughs harder. “Like I said, bro,pussy whipped.”
“You know what, dick face, I can’t wait till you fall in love with some poor girl. I bet you’ll be more whipped than the rest of us.”
He scrunches his face in disgust, as if it’s the most absurd thing he’s ever heard. “I’ll take all the pussy I can get, but I’ll never be controlled by one.”

“I bet you’ll be pussy whipped before we graduate college, and if you are, you have to send me flowers once a month until she breaks your heart.”

I shrug. “Sophia loves them. This way she’ll enjoy my inevitable win too.”

Theo settles back in his seat, and I take one last glance at my phone to see another notification.
