I held on to him tightly as he did me. But I was not afraid. I knew he wouldn’t let anything happen to me. In his arms, I felt invisible.

Yesterday evening after the furniture arrived, we sat on the sofa and watched a movie. When the credits rolled, and we shut the TV off, Azrael took my hand and walked up to my bedroom. He got on his knees and pulled my silk nightgown above my belly button.

He slid my panties down, and I stepped out of them. He licked my center, and my head fell back as I gripped his hair. “Always so ready for me,” he said. His voice was full of passion and want. He licked me until I cried out his name, and then I fell back onto the bed.

Azrael removed his clothes, and his hard cock looked as though it was throbbing. I reached out to touch it, and he groaned. “I want you to put me inside you,” he said. “I want you to milk my cock so I can fill you with my seed.”

My core tightened, and my sex ached with want. I felt how wet I was, and he saw it from the look in his eyes. My legs were spread, and my body was burning for him.

“Come here then,” I said.

He climbed on top of me. I positioned him at my center, and he said, “This isn’t going to be gentle, darling. I’ve been waiting all day to fill you.”

I gasped as he slid inside of me. He grabbed the headboard with one hand and held my body with the other, panting with every hard thrust. We came together, and I swear I saw shooting stars behind my closed eyes.

Thinking about last night causes me to tighten my thighs around him. As if he knows, he runs his nose against mine. I hear the ocean roaring below us, and I turn to look, seeing Lover’s Light come into view.

He drops us down, and I find my balance, looking out at the sun descending like fire, moving across the ocean.

“Wanted to watch the sunset again?” I ask.

“Something like that,” he says.

When I turn around, he’s on one knee.

I cover my mouth with my hands, twisting around and falling to the ground, in shock, in happiness, I don’t know. My body shakes with tears, and I quickly run over to him, throwing my arms around his neck.

“You’re not like anyone,” he says. “I’ve known I’ve loved you since the moment I saw you.” He kisses my neck. “I understand this is asking a lot. This will change your life as you know it, but I’m a selfish male. I want you. I need you by my side. Marry me, darling.”

I squeeze him tighter. “You’re not like anyone either. I love you so much. Of course, I’ll marry you.” He kisses my hair and grabs my face, kissing my lips. We fall back, and I laugh as he kisses me all over my face.

“We only have moments before we won’t be able to see,” he says. I pull back, looking down at his open palm.

The ring he holds is dainty. Black with diamonds. It circles three times with a small space in between each round. It’s unlike anything I’ve ever seen before.

“This ring will change everything, Mabel. Don’t take this lightly. Once you put it on, it’s forever. There’s no going back.”

I bite my lip, looking at the ring.

“You will fall asleep tonight, and you will wake immortal.”

“Will it hurt?” I ask.

“No. Hypnos has assured me of this.”

“You’ve spoken to him about us?”

“Of course. He’s my brother.” He smiles gently. “He says you dream of me.”

I feel the blush on my cheeks.

“Don’t worry, I’ve dreamed of you my entire existence.”

“But you don’t sleep.”

He laughs. “Technicality.”

I feel my smile, but to say I’m not nervous would be lying. This will change everything as I know it. I will watch my family and friends die. I will lose people I love over and over. But to be without him.
