"It's alright, stop crying!" I chuckle. "That's enough water for the day. But promise me, the next time you get angry, just dive into the pool, alright? No need to try and drown everyone around with a water bomb."
"I promise," she replies, half laughing and half crying.
"And you keep training, okay? With time, this will be nothing. You'll be able to help a lot of people around you with your power. So don't waste your time with teenagers like that being mean to you. Just move on, and grow stronger from it. Even witches can't change people's opinions, but we can act whatever we want to regardless. Be a strong witch and be yourself. Don't be scared to be different, okay? One of my best friends said weirdos are cool."
"You're the coolest," she smiles.
"Thanks," I chuckle.
She takes a deep breath in, wiping her tears.
"Do you have to leave?" she asks with a sorry expression.
"Yes, my family is waiting for me... but don't hesitate to call me if you need, okay? Humans don't have magic, but technology is still useful and you can chat with other witches like I told you too. You'll see; everyone has issues, but we're stronger together."
"Thanks, Mara. Thank you for everything. I promise I'll get better at all that."
"Train," I nod, "but keep studying! Make memories at school, and become someone great. We need more cool witches."
I take a few steps back, and wave at her, my magic circle appearing beneath me. She keeps waving from afar, crying again a bit, but soon, she's gone.
I let out a long sigh and close my eyes, letting my circle bring me home. What time is it in Silver City? It's probably pretty early... I can’t help but smile, a bit excited to go home. It's always the same, no matter how long I leave, a few hours or a few days. As soon as I'm gone, I'm looking forward to when I'll be back.
I arrive in our living room, as usual. The furniture is actually set so I have space to arrive, just in case I land a bit farther than planned or something even though I've used this spell so many times I can do it without thinking now. I take a deep breath and stretch. The sun is up already, but the house is so quiet. It's a Saturday, after all... With everyone sleeping, I feel a bit lucky to be awake already. I make a quick stop by the bathroom to dry my hair and put away my wet clothes before I soak the whole house... I glance up at my figure in the mirror. No dark circles this time, but my hair is going to be a nightmare later... Oh, well. I push a few white strands out of my face. I'm really getting used to it now. It looks like a real witch thing...
I grab a pair of sweatpants and a shirt from my dressing room right next to it. I'm tempted to cross it and go into our bedroom, but I want to go somewhere else first.
I smile and go back into the hallway to sneak into the first bedroom on the left.
The little crib is hidden in the dark, just a few phosphorescent stars shining above it, and the thin light filtering through the curtains. I quietly walk up to the little bed, and lean over. Moon Goddess, he is so cute... Sleeping with his body spread like a star, his little mouth open, Milo is deep asleep. His little hand is still holding Spark's tail, just like when I left him. I chuckle quietly, exchanging a glance with my cat, curled up in the corner with his golden eyes glowing.
"Thanks for watching him," I mutter with my lips.
Spark lets out a cute little meow, and puts his head down on my baby's belly. I smile and go back to watching Milo sleep. I love his frizzy black hair and his golden skin... and those cheeks! I could squeeze them all day long if he didn't hate it. Plus, he inherited his dad's eyes behind those closed eyelids. All his aunties and I are certain: he will be unbearably handsome when he grows up. However, for now, he's still an adorable toddler with a very heavy sleep and a dangerous appetite of a little wolf when he's up... He's got his little pajamas with the words “Watch out: Baby Wolf” written on them that Selena gifted him last Christmas. I pull his blanket to cover him, and put a little kiss on his cheek, provoking a little pout on his face. It's cute, and not enough to wake my little Milo up. I exchange a wink with Spark, and quietly walk out of the bedroom, closing the door without making a sound.
I get back into the hallway, but don't dare enter the other bedroom. Unlike her little brother, she'd wake up right away for sure... so I quietly sneak into our master bedroom, opening it once again as quietly as possible.
Oh, Moon Goddess, what a sight...
He forgot to close the blinds again last night, which he always does when I'm not here. I guess he hasn't gotten used to it yet, it's only been two months since we moved here... I won't complain, though. In fact, I have the chance to witness my adorable husband, half-naked, sleeping across the disheveled bed like his son, with the lines of his abs hit by the sunlight... I bite my lower lip, a bit too excited. Oh, I could devour him right now. Instead, I chuckle and slowly climb on the end of the bed, trying not to wake him up.
He's snoring faintly and it adds to his charm. He's wearing patterned pajama bottoms... Still no top, of course. I have a matching set, which I only wear on weekends when we have to watch out for those little ones barging in the bedroom. The rest of the week, it's sexy black lingerie only. For now, though, I'm not wearing either of these, but it doesn't stop me from climbing over my husband. Although he doesn't open his eyes, I can tell exactly when he wakes up as I feel his inner wolf excited by my presence. I put a kiss on his lips, and he immediately pouts to ask for another. I chuckle, and happily indulge.
"Good morning, my wolf."
"Good morning, my witchy wife... How did it go?"
"The usual. Troubled witch teenager almost drowning her classmates... How about you?"
"The usual.... Our daughter tried to charm her godfather, our son tried to bite everything... including his dad and his mom's cat."
"Oh, poor Sparky... So you spent the evening with Ben?"
"He brought the twins too. Kelsi kicked him out, she's still working on her essay thing... I don't know which one between him or me missed their wife the most. Although the pizza party was fun."
"You had a pizza party with my babies without me again?" I chuckle. "They must love when Mommy isn't here..."
"They still miss you, though. Milo cried for a bit... and Cynthia asked when you'd be back, like, three times."
